Hi Eric,
Thank you for taking the time to message. It was a pleasure to work with you on the contest. Although saddened that you will choose another entry I am also delighted that you find a logo to suit your needs. Thank you also for your kind words and I wish you all the best moving forward. Cheers, Angela
Hi Angela. Our council has decided to move forward with a different logo. Yours was our runner-up. I am sorry for any disappointment, but I wanted to reassure you that we loved working with you. We wish you the best. You are a wonderful artist. -Eric
Hi,
Thanks once again for the feedback. Here is a revised entry with the addition of some simple elements to help differentiate each segment. And of course this help with the black/white grayscale issue. I hope this may help.
Cheers!
This still has potential. It's the easiest to convert to black/white or grayscale. Feedback so far is that the trees look like mountains, even with the branches, and there might be a little too much empty space in the middle.
We like this and #276 a lot. The thing that's holding us back from putting one of them in our top spot is that they don't look as good in black/white or grayscale. Do you have any ideas?
Hi,
Thank you very much for choosing me for the finalists. I was pushed for time yesterday and unable to complete all the revisions I would have liked. This extra time will let me do so. Hopefully I may be able to push on into first place and get a logo nailed down for you. I will work on the revisions and new entries today and have them uploaded for you tomorrow. Thanks again, Angela
Would you be willing to try this suggestion on this number 14 that we mentioned earlier:
"We had an idea: fit the symbol within a larger circle of small stained glass panels "
Can we get a version of this with dark blue mosaic on the bottom, and light blue mosaic for the sky? We like the slight variation in color for each section, so keep that as an element in your edits. This looks fantastic.
We torn on this story. We really like elements of it. A few changes I'd like to see: (1) Convert the mountain in the middle to a tree; (2) no cross; (3) smooth the inner corners of the two lakes; (4) create slight waves in the water
Optional: (5) I think this could look good if it had a similar ring and backdrop feel to the red/white tree in our file upload. Play with it and let me know what you think. Thanks for your hard work!
Hi,
As promised here are a few more entries for your consideration. I have kept the idea of the two lakes and a Pine Tree in each concept as well as adding the letter C in a couple. I hope one of these may be to your liking.
Cheers!
Hi,
Thank you again for the feedback. I am sure I can play around with this design and tackle the issue. I will be sure to look through all the images you have uploaded. I don't think I will have any free time today but will have the revisions and a new entry for you tomorrow.
Cheers!
We showed this logo around to a few people today and the same comment came back from nearly everyone that it looks like a phallic symbol. We didn't see it at first but now we can't stop seeing it :(
Any ideas of how to remedy the situation? We had an idea: fit the symbol within a larger circle of small stained glass panels (see link below for the style we have in mind). Sorry about the awkward inconvenience. We still love the logo.
You have shown the most intentionality and creativity of the designers so far and we would love to see other designs you might have in mind as well. We have uploaded a few files of logos we like. Check them out and see if they inspire anything new. Thanks!
Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, it is very much appreciated. Here is an entry with a bold sans serif font. If you need anything else just let me know. In the meantime I will work on some further entries.
Cheers!
Hello,
Here is my first entry for your consideration. The idea behind the design started with using a symbol for the trinity. I then colored the bottom two segments to help represent the two adjacent lakes in Cadillac. The third segment is colored to represent nature and growth in the form of a leaf/tree. I have also added a couple more elements to the extra uploads to abstractly show a stained glass window and a family. I understand you mentioned no overly spritual iconography but felt it was worth showing them in this context. I hope you may like the concepts and I look forward to any feedback you may have. I will also be glad to make any revisions you request.
Cheers!
