The concept behind these entries is to bring the design inside the hive showing the Indoor positioning aspect of your product. The honeycomb creates a network of rooms, with one highlighted showing the location.
I like #1, #2, and #3. Inside the hive is a great concept and is in fact one we considered early on. I'm still open to many different ideas, but I do like the hive concept a lot.
A note: I like the direction #3 is going in, but something looks a bit off. The blue looks out of place somehow and my eye is drawn to it. Highlighting a cell somehow would be neat though...
I looked over that comment I posted. I don't want to discourage the blue entirely. I like the introduction of a bit of color. It's just overwhelming on #3 somehow. This design could really go somewhere though!
Thanks, Glendon. This is great stuff you're doing. We're going to keep mulling over these ideas some... Out of curiosity, what's your favorite that you've done so far?
We're interested in the bee concept and are interested in seeing more ideas that incorporate it. The bee didn't come through right away in the current iteration, but are there other ideas you have here? Perhaps even, slightly, more bee-like to avoid confusion with a tree or other object? The pinpoint stinger is really neat!
Thanks for the positive feedback. As far as which is my favorite at this point, I couldn't answer right now. I like both ideas for different reasons... Let me develop them over the next few days and I will be able to better single one out
Thanks, Glendon. I really like this new entry (#47). I want to mull it over and also show it to some of the guys at the company. This is a great direction in case you have other ideas with it...
Some thoughts:
- The blue fades into the black more on this than in #3 where the blue stands out surrounded by the white. This might just be my eye though. Let me see what some others think too...
- Would the bee make sense on the other side of the hive? ...pointing in towards BuzNet? I'm not sure. You certainly have a more artistic eye than I do, but I figured I'd throw some things out there since you respond with great ideas.
#48 has the bee leading into the text. It is an idea i was playing around with, but the bee at the smaller size was just getting lost. This blue is a little duller then in #3. It also helps that it is not gridlocked and has some room to breath. I like the idea here the icon is representing. The honeycomb representing the indoor aspect of your company. Rather then highlighting a cell, the bee is now the highlight using the stinger as the marker. The wings of the bee form an arrow directing the eye into the company name. I'll try some alternate options as well.
