Color Preferences
A variety of colours. Traditionally, 'bunting' are small flags or pieces of colourful material, hanging by string, used mostly for decorative purposes (See an example here: http://goo.gl/aKUY6). It is very friendly, and reminds us of warmth, community and spirit. Generally it should be cheerful, bright, happy. BUT it also needs to be CLASSY and easy on the eye. NOT GARISH! I would imagine pastel colours may work well, but I'm open to suggestion. Anything that suggests 'cheap' or 'tacky' will not work, it is a fairly luxury product - I am not using colour to suggest a low cost, but rather to convey character and approachability.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
At this stage I would expect the logo to contain a bunting flag or two somewhere on it, however I admire creative out-the-box thinking, and I'm open to other ideas. Whatever it does it needs to do is ooze character and personality. The personality should be friendly, helpful, direct... it should make people smile.

I expect the font to be simple, clear and elegant, like this: http://goo.gl/F3C69, but again I'm reasonably open to suggestions. If you come up with a more fitting font then so be it, but I'd imagine at the point of writing this that a font such as the latter would work best.

I want you to LOVE designing this logo, and be proud to put it on your portfolio :)

It needs to avoid sharp edges, something more realistic. If it were just basic shapes I was after then I could design it myself! I expect the winner to be an elegant illustration

In reference to #6, I like the colours and the slight waviness in the bunting flags (better than just bland straight-lined triangles). As a note to all designers, the emphasis in the graphic element is on the colour, so please don't use too much black / dark gray in this area. Again, referencing #6 as an example, I would prefer the dark lines to be just a little thinner, as they seem to somewhat overpower the colours. Thanks!

Also, it'd be cool to see some concepts with two, or even just one, bunting flags, rather than lots, just to compare. I love new ideas and creative thinking, and such ideas are much more likely to win this competition :)

Bit more feedback - I'm not looking for anything hand drawn, as demonstrated by entry #15. It is a piece of software and needs to look modern, not like a nursery. Thanks for the entries anyway though and keep trying :)

#22 - I quite like this, but I'd like to experiment with not having a circular logo, as bunting never wraps around in a circle :) . I've had an idea it would be nice to test, although I don't know if it'll work. What if one end of the bunting was to be attached to the lower descender of the 'g', with the other end going through the hole in the 'b' and out the other end? Much like this: http://goo.gl/334aT - or some other variation of that idea. Use your creativity :)

#28 and #29 have a customised font - the dot above the 'i' in a colour. I don't really like this and prefer the font used on #22.

Sans fonts only please (eg #22). Don't submit using any entries using serif fonts (eg #29). I want this logo to look modern, as you would expect from today's web-based software.

I want to bring attention to #38 - the execution doesn't quite seem right but the ideas behind it, such as the birds, are nice out-of-the-box touch. Love creative ideas :)

Thank you so far for all your entries. Could we try with a focus on just one bunting flag? I was thinking perhaps more focus on a larger flag, rather than lots of little ones. Thanks :)

IDEA FOR ALL DESIGNERS: Bunting is often available in a variety of different patterns. Let's try and incorporate one or more perhaps? Remember, this logo should be bright, cheerful, friendly and rustic in feel, yet modern in execution. Check these patterns:

Could we please try with some more spiral designs, like in #22? Thanks

Hi all. Just a quick informer; I have had the competition extended by a couple of days as it was formerly going to finish on Sunday, and I won't be as readily available to give feedback over the weekend. The competition should now end on Tuesday. Thanks again for all you hard work so far, and to the LT admin team for their time extension.
