Hi David, I think number 49 is very good. Unfortunately, this won't work on a black ground or red (which are the most likely backgrounds). I like the steam but not the yellow. As well, is it possible for the font be a bit more consistent. I like the Bumbalina bit but the A and the L in the middle looks a bit odd.
The name is actually pieced together with a few different Asian style fonts, to show the variety within Asia. I can see where the A and L stand out a bit -will adjust. I will also make a variation for a dark background. Generally, when building a brand logo, a set of logos is created for different visual circumstances such as this.
I really like your design. Number 64 is excellent. I like the writing as it is more uniform. In 71, the LINA part of bumbalina seems a larger than the rest and unsettling to the eye. could you alter the size of the N, so that the last 3 letters aren't all big.
A question - I realize that you have been altering one design and refined it very well. It's excellent. However, I was wondering if you would be interested in trying out other food aspects (besides the bowl) - such as Durian (prickly type fruit) or Bamboo.
As requested, #71 has been resubmitted with a smaller "N" (and provided on different backgrounds).
The bowl is a way to represent all of Asia, without committing to any one regional or cultural food that may exclude another (Could be rice, vegetables, noodle bowl etc.).
I also see the request regarding bamboo and durian. The current concept with the bowl has the chopsticks, bowl and steam to all work together as they are integrated into the logo. Swapping out the bowl for any other element would change the logic of the steam and chopsticks -looking a little odd.
Or are you requesting to see entirely new logo designs using these elements?
