Color Preferences
should be natural tones of green, cream, deep pink, brown but I'm open to other color combos. Not interested in blue, yellow, grey, black, red. Should be a soft, calming pallet but not boring and washed out. Not pastel either - please include pops of bright color.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
i like japanese chiyogami designs and cherry blossoms in particular. i've included a link to my current site which is still in development for an idea on look and feel. I've also included a link to chiyogami papers which I intend to include in my packaging. for the chiyo papers I like the plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, and other floral and landscape patterns. These are just reference points - no need to replicate

If possible, I'd like to include my slogan "live clean...feel good" in the design. I'm not sure if that will make it too cluttered so will leave that to the experts. It's not a requirement but please consider that as you create your designs, thank you!

DESIGN FEEDBACK (Rolling Updates as new designs appear.)

First, thank you so much for taking the time to submit designs to my contest. I'm so excited!!! In my comments below I will pick out elements I like (or don't) and try to help better define my requirements for this logo. I plan to update these frequently as new submissions appear. In fairness to everyone who submits a design I will not rank iterations on the same design within the top 10 - I just don't want to shut down the creative process since I'm open to any and all designs. Thank you again, I appreciate all of your work!

I like how the bubbles were incorporated and that the slogan is included. Looks nice and tight

It just looks a little too young/kiddie/cartoonie. I'd like it to be a natural/sophisticated (but not pretentious) kinda look and feel. I prefer the font in a non-cursive style as I want it to be clearly legible when small (some of my labels will be for tiny containers.) I do like the brush styles (I'm currently just using Papyrus.)

The greens can be a bit richer/deeper. In general I'd like to see more natural tones while still keeping it bright and cheery as these are. I like the variety of color - makes it pop. I think so much blue is taking it in another direction for me although it does brighten it considerably. Maybe just a touch of a natural blue bubble...

I like having a plant element but it doesn't have to be flower, could be some other plant/greenery or better yet a combo.

Entry #2
I like how the slogan pops out in the bright pink

Entry #3
Very creative treatment of integrating the ampersand and the flower. Flower reminds me of japanese cherry-blossom illustrations. I'd like to have more color in the flower vs. just one or two colors. I'd like a bit more detail or shading.

Entry #4
I definitely have a preference for symmetry and in particular my soaps will be square shaped so the block/square format is very appealing. The face of the soaps will be 2.5" x 2.5".

For the flower or plant life - I'd like the element to have finer details. Also, please don't feel obligated to use pink flowers. My only concern about too much pink is that it becomes too feminine. If the words are muted please allow the plant life to pop a bit more.

The colors can go deeper and richer and if you can use a blend of colors all the better. See my page at www.bubsandscrubs.com for what I'm thinking. The only limit is to keep a natural/organic feel (not becoming too bubble-gummy). Please feel free to use a variety of colors or tones - doesn't have to be limited to 2,3, or 4 colors. I'd like the design to appear less flat.

For the font-style - I want something that really isn't easy to replicate via standard fonts (which is pretty much what I'm using now.) Something that appears "handmade" like a brushstroke, pen strokes, etc. I want it to be classy but not formal, casual and kinda earthy - but not overly grunge - I hope that helps. Feel free to send me any questions for more clarification.

Entry #13
I like the visual balance between all the words and the pictures. The colors are vibrant but still natural. I have a thing for magenta with greens and browns and creams so would swap out any purples. Only issue is that there is so much color gradation on all the elements. Maybe mix how the color is represented on different elements of the design. Nice work adding the slogan and bubbles.

Entry #14
This logo hits a number of elements I'm looking for: the color pallet is vibrant but still natural feeling. The font looks "handmade" without being too cartoonish. Maybe it could become a little more upscale but I do like this - it doesn't appear to be a standard font lifted out of standard programs. I like the floating bubbles. I think with only a flower and zero bubbles consumers may not make the soap connection so the bubbles are IN. :) It looks clean and will reproduce well on small labels. Please don't withdraw this one.
