We really like the detail you have done with the bull, especially the different shades in the outline. Could you try making it into a longhorn with rounded ears? We like the text/font, but would like to see it without the "glistens." We really like how the text overlaps the head in #21. We are also wanting to try making the longhorn a little larger, with the text going over the snout, with eyes above text and nostrils below... this might involve stretching the face a little to make the text readable. Thank you for your submissions. We really like your work.
Okay, these are awesome! Text is great. Lets talk about adding in some details and see what happens. All these ideas are for both #51 and #52. I would like to see maybe just a few facial details on the bull to give it depth and life. Originally I was thinking that I wanted the reader to see the text first and then the bull, so the bull would have to be a darker shade to not draw away from the text. Could we do that and then darken everything a just a little so that it has more of a dullness (similar to what you would see on actual rock) on the text rather than brightness. A final thought, I don't know if this would even work, but could you put some dust and maybe small pebbles on the top rim of some of the horn on #52 so that it looks like it fell off the text onto the horns?
I'm cleaning up my page. I kicked some of your first designs into the not interested section....that doesn't hurt your score does it? If so, I can move them back.
The face looks great on both of them, I like the darker colors that you used also. Looking at the border that makes up the outline of the bull, can we make that darker and maybe thinner? Could you make the horns look more rounded than 2 dimensional, so that the dust falling on top of them gives them more of a natural shape rather than the outline giving it the shape? If that doesn't make sense let me know and I will try to clarify. This is looking really good!
I have had a request to see #75 with the BS siting onto of Brewing starting on the R. Also to leave the head where it is and put the BS on top of it centered and also try it on the right over the horn. If you could get those three back to me tonight sometime I would really appreciate it. Thanks again for your work!
We are having a hard time deciding between #117, #115, #120. For #115 and #120 can you curve the horns up at the tip to give it a more natural longhorn look. My investors are concerned that the bull looks less like an angry bull and more like a demon. Is there anything you can do to add more of a bull quality to the design to draw back on the demon look. Use fill, texture, whatever you need, I don't want to hold you back. Thanks for all the hard work!
#156 looks great, I can really see it on a beer label. We need to move away from the flat black color of the bull, the detail lines are a great start! Can you add in some texture and maybe just use the black for shading?
#177 and #175 The bull rocks! I am torn between the green and the red eyes for now. We would like there to be some form of texture behind the bull and text. I was thinking of something marbled or stone. Please upload anything that you think would work. This is going to be a label on a beer bottle and we need it to have a boarder that flows with the design. Please play with this idea, we trust your judgment on what would look good. Once you have some boarders that you like please put the whole thing on a white background. You have an awesome design going!!!
I personally love this logo, red or green variations reflect power, fierce and energy, qualities a bull have. And I like a lot the bull head, was a good first sketch you provide.
I like the idea of using the green or red but I'm not sure where yet. #177 is still my favorite but I think it is because of the lighter background, not the circle. Can you do more of a border that matches the style of the bull and text? I don't want the boarder to hug the bull and text as close as it does in #190. The brown texture in #188 is a good start but I would like to stick to the gray darker colors that we have going, anything that has a marble or stone texture. Could you drop the circle in the back ground and just place the design on a textured back ground instead. Remember, keep beer bottle in mind. Maybe an oval boarder? Your logo is Awesome!!
Okay, we are starting to see a final product here. I like what you are doing with the backdrop. The barley and the bull are getting lost in the backdrop but I like the texture too much to try something else. Maybe we could make the backdrop lighter so the bull stands out more. This might be a good opportunity to try adding in some of the colored lines again. When you have some finished ideas can you send a green one, red one, and a cobalt/blue one? Your bull is awesome, I can really see this label as the face of our company.
#199, one of my investors has asked to see this design with the "REWING" a little smaller than the "B". They said the "W" looked like it was starting a new word. Would it be possible at this point for you to make one with those adjustments? Again, the BS is good, the B in brewing is good, just make the rewing smaller.
As I was standing up from my computer I saw the design at an angle where everything stayed the same in comparison but it was all a few shades lighter. It looked good that way. Could you send me one where you brighten the logo as a whole?
Alright these are GREAT! Can you put the bull from #200 onto #204 without changing anything else? I was thinking, could you take the backdrop and make it look like it was broken into maybe 3 pieces with the pieces still in place just separated a little, then line the cracks with the line matching the eye color (then just put the text and bull on top of it)? But, please send the first idea with out the broken background. The text looks great, I like it better this way.
I'm not sure the broken idea will work. Can we try adjusting #209 so that there is a break going from the B in Brewing to the edge and then getting rid of the break by the eyes and behind the barley? Could you make the break by the B look like the one currently behind the barley? Also, lets do it with out the red border around the outside. This logo has a lot of detail, I don't want it to be so busy that people can't focus on it. What is your opinion, where should we go with this?
I think simple is better, the new fissures in the background get lost in the black as I show you on #214, The best solution I find is to add a thin edge around it, not red but something more subtle like a grey-black gradient that fit on the overall design. #216 & #217 show the same design and works perfect on white & black
You are right about the breaks. Lets focus on #211, can you make the background lighter so that there is more of a contrast between that and the bulls head? Maybe send three shades so that we can choose the best visual option. Can you make the barley more opaque maybe add just a little detail to the actual leaves (just a little, trying to keep it simple). You are most likely going to win this thing, I'm just trying to push the limits!!!
Could we maybe get at least one revision of #211 before the end of the competition? My wife is not sold on the design and really wants to make sure that the bull will stand out more. Thanks!!
Thanks for all your hard work, we are very excited about the logo! We are looking forward to working with you to finalize the image. As soon as we can get the background lightened and the grains touched up, we will stop the judging early! Looking forward to seeing the final product. Thanks again Fracco, it has been a pleasure to work with you thus far.
#220, #221 & #222 different lighten background, more contrasted bull head and barley´s more opaque and with a bit more detail.
Was a pleasure to me to work with you, thanks a lot for the continuous ranking and feedback. We designers can´t make this alone, is a work between CH and designer.
At the end of the contest if you decide to pick my design as a winner I can give you my personal mail for future works.
Is the bull from #211 and #222 the same? If not, can we put the darker bull on the lighter background? The barley looks great, the whole design looks fantastic. The bull is the only change we would like to see at this point. Thanks dude!
That's great man! I am going to get some feedback today between the two and then get back to you tonight. I know that we will need one variation of the design once we choose the winner so please hold on to all the drafts. I know that any additional designs are separate from the competition, we can discus compensation once we close on this one. Thanks again!! I'll let you know tonight between #223 and #222
