Thanks for your entries! We like quite a few elements of your work: The text layout in #23, the lack of a background in #25, the font of "greenhouses" in #25, the "Bruce's" font in #24 and #23. We like how full the potted flower is but we might still suggest a different flower. Our website has some of the different flowers we grow.
Thanks so much for your feedback. I've put together the type options you preferred along with several flower options: the original blooms, a petunia-type and a mum-type. Looking forward to your thoughts -- and please let me know if you'd like to see different colors or flowers.
We love #57 and you're definitely in our top 5. Thanks for the geranium! We think the colors, text and pot design are excellent! We may want to see a few options with the plant and flower but you can work on it and wait til the top 5 if you want, it's up to you.
Thanks so much for your kind words -- I'm so pleased you're liking my work. I'll be more than happy to show any options you'd like -- just let me know what you'd like to see.
Ok, so we may end up going with #57 because it is just fantastic! But we would like you to try a few different things with the Geranium just to see what they look like. Don't feel like you have to try all of them but here are a few thoughts:
1. A more solid bloom? 2. More leaves hanging down? 3. Having the leaves flow out of the pot instead of being tucked in as they are now?
Hi: So happy you're liking the geranium! I will play around with your ideas and get back to you as soon as possible (it will probably be mid-day Sunday).
Good morning! I've just submitted two revisions based on your comments. One features the original flowers, the other is a more solid bloom. Both have additional and flowing leaves. I'm around today, so if you'd like to see any other variations I'll be able to take care of them fairly quickly.
Thanks, they look great! #57 and #103 are our favorites and we'll have to decide between the two. #103 appears to have multiple colors in the leaves and multiple colors in the blooms and we would prefer to have just 3 colors in the logo. Thank you!
Hello again! I've submitted four new versions, all using just 3 colors, as follows:
#105 and #106 are the original flowers, shown with both versions of the foliage #107 is the same as #103, but with no variation of color. I felt this just wasn't really working, so I created #108 which returns to the outlined flowers, but red has been added behind, to give the feeling of a more solid bloom
If you like #108, do let me know -- I think I can bring some more refinements to it.
The flowers look great, we like the small changes to the blooms! After some thought, we thought the text appeared larger in some of your earlier work and would like to see what you could do to enlarge it some. We like how the B fits under the lip of the pot but at the same time would be interested in sizing the text up some just to see if it works. Thank you!
Hello: I've nudged the type size up a bit, while keeping that nice little tuck-in under the pot lip. (I don't think the font size ever really changed -- but at some point I did tighten the spacing in "Bruce's", so it did have the effect of being smaller.)
I'm so pleased you're happy with the work I've done. It's been a fun project -- flowers are always a pleasure to work with (but then, I bet you know that!)
Please let me know if you'd like to see anything else.
I've talked to the boss (Dad) and he's very pleased with #123. Before we finish up he would like you to try one more time with getting the text bigger. If it doesn't work then we'll be more than happy with #123. Your work has been great and we are so pleased with it. Do you do any other design work? We'd love to contact you if you do.
I've uploaded three versions showing larger type. The differences may seem a bit subtle, but I'm trying to maintain the overall balance and feel.
#124: I've enlarged the type as much as possible maintaining the snug tuck-in #125: The type is the same size (in height) but has been extended (in width) #126: The type here is both larger and extended, and the terracotta pot has been made slightly larger.
I hope one of these works for you and the boss!
I'm not afraid I'm not allowed to discuss additional work until the contest is over, but will be happy to hear from you then.
