On #86 I've used as a reference the front page photo of Brooklyn from the official website. I don't know if you own the rights for the image, but if you do then it's a fair game to used it for the logo (if you like it at all).
Can you try to incorporate my name into the B and R. Im having a hard time choosing between the fonts. I like them both. I didn't realize that was me in the pic. Thats so cool. Yes we own the rights to the pic. :)
I'll try that but beware that mixing the icon with the initials and the name itself can be confusing for people who are not familiar with your name. It's getting a little hard to read. Anyway check out the samples I've uploaded. Yes, it's your silhouette in the pic, it's was a pretty strong temptation to try a design like this once I saw your website ;)
Hi Ivan! We had some friends over last night and the concern with the logo is that they felt it might be too busy. It is important that it can be read clearly from a distance.
Brookly, the important thing for the logo is for you to like it. Most of the logos in the contests are professional enough to meet all the requirements a logo needs to fulfill. Don't fall to friends' opinions - it will just leave you confused. My advice is to listen to your heart - it's your logo after all. Too busy or too simple it's a matter of taste. IMHO The readability of your top choice logos is not an issue (either mine or the competition ones). Still I'll try some more simple solutions if you're strongly concerned about it. I wish you find the best logo for you ;)
