I like where you're going here. The one on the left looks like it could be a B and the right could be an E. Maybe flip them around and use a mouth to create the back line of the "B"?
I honestly really like the logos in the heart theme of 165. Mustache, hearts, and B&E. It's pretty great overall.
Can you try a version with a slightly thinner mustache and larger hearts? See this terrible photoshop version, (which would need to be smoothed a lot) for an example of how it might be spaced (with artist's opinion available).
The challenge with this logo is that the B looks good, but the E has a round front and center extension from the hump of the mustache.
If the E can look more like and E and the B can stay sexy AND we have hearts... we may have a genius logo on our hands.
Here's the photoshopped version example. I tweaked the curls to curl in a little sharper so I could squish the two together a bit. Trying to get the middle of the E to look good (when alone without the B), while the hearts remain, the B remains clear (when alone without the E) and together they make hearts. Separate they make mustaches when turned sideways. This is a lot to accomplish in a logo, but wow, how close we are!
For an additional version, I need each the B & E to stand alone as a B and an E. If there's a way to give them B more of a back line (possibly using a deeper curl spiraling into the heart)
In the judging phase of the contest, please let me know if you develop the versions that I have listed above and I will move you to spot #1 so you can post them. I like this concept a lot, and I really hope we can develop it together.
See how the mustaches (when alone) don't look really resemble B or an E? I think we need to shave some of the middle out and to increase the height of the entire image. I have done an example of it here.
