You've done really nice work here bringing in the herbal element. I love the curvature in #83 & #84. My concern is that the herbal elements are too clip-arty for a professional logo. If there's a way to professionalize them a bit (like your Entry #80), that would be preferable.
Hi, Thank you for the feedback Here are entries #87, #88 with less "clip arty" elements, and the requested changes in the brief Please let me know what you think :)
I like where you went with #100. I wonder if the background leaves could form a heart (without looking cheesy? - a feat, I recognize). Also, what if we dropped "Craft" in that one and increased the size of "Brilliant" with a classier font?
Thank you so much :) Entries #122, #126 - without "craft" and different font for "Brilliant" Entries #123, #124, #125 - with the leaves forming a heart.
Please let me know if there is anything else you'd like to see
Your work here is exceptional. The detail is wonderful and precisely what I wanted to see.
One thing that branding advisors are bringing up to me is: what's the image that will stick with people for the brand and be seen from afar? I think the word Elixir will do so in your #156/157. I wonder though, is the circle iconic enough? Would it be possible to take influence from your #123 and use the curly frame from #156 to make a heart frame again?
Hi Brandon, Thank very much you for such a great response to my work, so nice to know you like them. I think your feedback and suggestions were very helpful :)
If there is anything else you want me to try, please let me know
I've been speaking with my label designer today and we are liking #157 a lot, but wondering if it's too complicated to be seen effectively at distance on a label. Can we enlarge "Brilliant" and lessen the leaf content? Also, wondering if the leaves and floral aspects used in your designs here would be available to me in the delivered EPS to help us expand this logo into the label we will be creating around it?
Hi Brandon, Here are the new versions with fewer, bigger leaves, and enlarged "Brilliant" - entries #228, #229, #230, #231, #232, #233, #234, #235, #236, #237, #238, #239.
The EPS you will get is a 100% vector which means you can edit it (enlarge, change color, use each element separately, etc...) without loosing quality. Any way after the contest is over I can send you the leaves separately, and any other formats or color versions you want via email. Hope this helps :) If there is anything else you'd like to see, please let me know Thanks!
The feedback is that the surrounding Heart of dots is too overt. Can we see the following (#234, #169) with just the leaves making the heart (no dots or line)?
I like the BRILLIANT right on top of the ELIXIR with "of San Francisco" beneath - all combined centrally. If the heart of leaves could surround that solid core, we may have something.
And finally, could I see a circular stamp with the same BRILLIANT and ELIXIR "of San Francisco" all together in the center with a few leaves (like #230) taking up the extra space before a circle of dots surrounding (like #157)
Please include the different floral elements in the EPS. We would imagine making the label out of many of the other elements included in your other submissions to keep the look concise. Congratulations. You did a lot of great work here and thank you so much for being so responsive to my requests.
Thanks Brandon! Thats great news :) I enjoyed the process and working with you
Once the contest is finalized, only two files can be uploaded throughout the Logotournament system: the vector EPS file that can be edited and printed at any size without loosing quality, and a jpeg file. Both files are of the winning entry. After you approve the final files I can send the other versions as well, directly to you. Please let me know which other versions you want, so I can have them ready. If you have questions , just let me know :) you can also see here: https://logotournament.com/help/client/87
I'll be honest. I love #248. My advisor and part of my team are wanting more of victorian era of San Francisco for our branding direction. Would there be a way to take this logo in that direction?
1) Elixir is exploding outward 2) The explosion comes from the heart expansion (as we always wanted the elixirs to produce) 3) The heart is subtly a heart, 4) but also subtly wings 5) and subtly herbal
If there is a way to keep these elements but take the look in a classy victorian direction, my team may be convinced this could meet our vision for our clothing lines and overall branding direction.
I really liked your work, and the heart was the strongest Icon created in this contest, but it didn't fit the direction we are taking with the branding. May I ask why you withdrew your entries when the contest finished?
Thank you for your inspired efforts and for helping us find our current path.
Hi there Brandon, Thank you for taking the time to write these kind words, really appreciate that. Creating a logo for a new product is very important and has longterm implications on the whole branding process. It has to represent you in the best way, so I totally understand the long process and considering multiple directions. I’m happy that I took part in that process, and as I said before, I enjoyed it very much, even though it didn’t end the way I hoped :) As you probably know, designers own the rights for their entries and can withdraw them at any time, most of us do that after the contest is over.
I think the “Brilliant Elixir” is a cool idea, and now has a beautiful logo for it. I wish you the best of luck. If you need any help or want to collaborate in the future you can contact me any time.
