Entry #26 I really like the idea - it's a neat representation of human to human connection leveraging the bridge name. It also helped me realize that I'm looking for something that also shows some kind of growth, or development as we're focused on human capacity building.
Entry #27 This is the best of the 3. And it sort of signals growth or change based on the line being wider and then more narrow but it's indicated a downward direction instead of up.
I like #37 the best - it's a subtle way to showing bridging and the upwards growth of the hands touching resonates growth in general. I do like the other one's, but they are almost too commercial growth, when we are focused on human wisdom, and community development. It's like a deepening and personal development, rather than economic growth we're looking for.
I'm wondering what it would look like in all capital for "BRIDGES"...

I think I like the capitals better, but I'm wondering if you can use the same font you started with in capitals...I'm still trying to decide if I like the fading darker to lighter as you move up the letters as well...
Sorry to take your logo off first rank - I personally really like the look and feel, but my communications team is struggling with the design, and how they can use it without words as an organization stamp.
Some people like the blue, and others think it's too close to waves and water, and we don't want the possibility of confusion to exist. It's still in the running, but not as near the top as it was before. If you have other ideas please submit them! :)
I uploaded some more design options... making them now usable as an organizational stamp with or without words(also tried to diminish the water/waves look and feel) hopefully i'll be able to upload some more before the time ends. I hope you had a great weekend Lindsay! Thanks again.
Holy you've been busy!! Thanks so much for the submissions!
I personally really like the look, but my team isn't as much of a fan. They are almost too big and bold, and not subtle enough in the look and design. I haven't heard much about the new one's yet ..entry #81 I like, as well as #74 but the whole thing feels a little too big and bold, and I'm not sure how I feel about the yellow background in #74. Perhaps it's also just the font and size?
The bubbles while creating a nice stamp, separate the image too much from the words which makes the whole thing feel sort of disconnected..
I like the feel of entry #85 and #78 but still too bold and out there in the case of #85, and more like a tent in #78.
Overall I think we're looking for something softer, and more gentle in it's statement. Hopefully this makes sense? Did you have any questions?
I did have a nice weekend, although it rained a lot where I live which wasn't the best. Hope you enjoyed yours!
created few more new concepts including #113, #114 letter "B" as initial of BRIDGES(with subliminal butterfly figure) =) ...depicts slow step-by-step stages of growing and social/human development(inner beauty and strength to full potential)
Chris! That's beautiful! Thank-you for continuing to design for us. Can you play around with the colouring inside the butterfly? Maybe a light blue instead of green for the bottom?? Or even the light skin colour from #114.
I'm definitely liking this look a lot - the final decision will be if we go with something that displays human connectivity as well. Hard to capture all in one design, and we have different opinions right now. For the unveiling potential part, and general look and feel of your #113 and #114..I totally love it.
Oh - sorry, I thought I made this comment already, but I was wondering what it would look like if the "B' butterfly symbol was actually the B in the "bridges" and you changed the font to match and build off of it?? This way the image is embedded in the title of the organization.
I like the light blue better than the green, but I'm wondering if the spots in the butterfly can be human skin colours to connect it to various cultures and people?? Maybe yellow, whiteish, brown/black? or even a redish? Kind of similar to the two #124 but with the lighter colour very small because it stands out a lot!
ha ha! I just read your comment, must have missed it -- I like the human connections you hinted at in the skin tones..i think the lighter colour should be one of the smaller shapes though because it stands out a lot!
Looking forward to seeing the one embedded in the title!
I do like the sideway version -- but I also like that's its flexible!
I'm loving it...seriously. I just need to show a few other people, as no one as seen it yet.
So many options, are you okay to iterate a few times during the judging process? There may be a few tweaks-- I don't really understand what happens once the contest closes.
Thanks Lindsay =) I'm really loving it too! ...it has become so good.
Oh yes sure I'm fine with that... just let me know any tweaks needed. That's actually what the judging time is for... to make final adjustments so that the top logo will be refined to perfection.
Have a great day! I'm sure your team will love it too =)
Well I knew it was going to be hard to lead a rebranding program, I didn't think it'd be so difficult to get consensus on concepts for the logo. Feedback from the new butterfly image is that it looks really old, and while the butterfly image for me is super powerful, our team is attached to the idea of human to human bridges or idea bridges - so the image of bridging needs to be reflected somehow and is lacking in the design.
I'm sorry to keep going back and forth like this. I need to take a break from looking at it...
Before you're final image idea came through I'd put a request in for an extension because i didn't feel I'd found what I was looking for just yet..this extension just occurred for our competition which I was hoping not to have to use but I'm going to have to open it again.
I know people have spent a lot of time already I'm increasing the prize money and I hope you'll consider refreshing your idea's and potentially coming up with a merging of butterfly and human bridging...
Perhaps it's too much to ask, but I think I'll know it when I see it.
Thanks for the update Lindsay =) I truly appreciate that. Surely I will upload more new ideas potentially merging butterfly human bridging...
By the way I have to remove my "B" butterfly anyway, looks like somebody already used it ahead of me(I just got a PM from another designer) ...#105 ??? I didn't even noticed somebody used a butterfly as "B" already hehe. Will upload more soon though. Have a nice day Lindsay!
Too much like a butterfly, and not enough human bridging...#156.
Some of the feedback of the original B butterfly, was that it was too feminine...and almost like an avon feel. It needs to feel gentle, but powerful, both masculine and feminine. Human bridging, or connectivity in some kind of relationship building way...
I added a hint of flower on this one... almost same principle as the butterfly(unveiling/transformation into a thing of beauty as it grows and nurtured) ...and yes, not diminishing the human/connecting/building/stronger factor
just let me know any adjustment needed if any =) thanks again Lindsay!
Neat idea for sure! #169 and #168 with the B.I like the concept but it isn't really working.
I understand the link to "flowering" but I don't think it adds anything to it, but I do like that font best with the image.
The overall image - I like it better when it's symmetrical otherwise it looks like the two bigger people are powering over the other two.
There is something with the hands and other they are linking that isn't quite right either, two people are always on top, and you don't see the arms of the other two at all...it should be a full link maybe??
I really like the concept of the human arm bridges as connection - maybe it's just a matter of playing with the look a little. I like it but I'm not totally in love with it...sorry!
