This is a challenging logo, mainly because the client wants to express "simple," "elegant," and "luxury" AND "value." I didn't want a whimsical logo, nor did I want overly complex colors and fades. This logo should look equally good on a letterhead as well as, say, an office entrance sign or door sign. By using clear type, with the emphasis on "marketing" the logo conveys its ultimate business purpose without getting bogged down in cleverness. To create this timeless logo I added the grey stripe, which conveys a sense of purpose and style, and also functions to give the red initials a soft backdrop. The black frame bordering the whole logo identifies that the entire logo takes up space, giving room for the words to make a stark impression without looking too preachy or serious. The grey stripe with the red initials also can serve as a unifying logo, appearing on letterheads, office signage, envelopes, etc..
