Sorry, here's a bit more information as a brief. I couldn't find a field in which to include this earlier:

My site and brand are a blog and personal platform, focused on anecdotal stories, and in-the-life ideas, tips, and tricks related to living an authentically Catholic life as a husband and father in today's culture. It's the foundation for building an audience for a book I have half-written and plan to finish and self-publish in the next 8 months.

The idea of the name "BreadAlive" is two-fold: First, in the Bible, Christ calls us to be like WHEAT that falls to the ground and die in order to bear fruit. In that respect, the concept of bread coming forth from wheat is an important aspect. Building upon that, I like the idea of "BreadAlive" implying that we, by our positive, loving, servant leader lives in our homes and families, workplaces, and communities, become bread (or food of strength, example, and positivity) for others.

As a Catholic Christian, the concept of bread is a super-important one for me. Bread is the form in which I believe Christ chose to present himself, physically and really, to us as food for our own journeys for all time.

I like the bolder, stronger font of #1, the less 3d feel of the "stretch" on #3, the use of the green on #3 & #4 (although I think I like it more with the brown.) Of the top 4, only #4 feels like it has the right balance right now, though.

The use of a slice of bread doesn't quite express the idea - the circle as Eucharistic Host does moreso; the wheat is working well in many of the designs; the use of the small loaf of bread is a nice alternative idea.

Hi, all, I'm really liking these newer designs, but am still wishing more somehow incorporated the circle of the Eucharistic Host somehow within the wheat or the broader design.

Thank you to all of the designers! You all did great work, and made it a very hard decision in the end. I've spent the last day or so soliciting the feedback of several friends and acquaintances, and former ad agency peers.

I'm going to go ahead and choose (and declare as the winner) #107. I like the treatment of the wheat best in this design, and have come to really like it as a standalone, featured element. I'm sure that any of the designers would have, in the finished product, offered versions with mixed case (upper & lower), but dezinbizz has confirmed via comment that he would do this for #107 as well.

Thanks again - I do anticipate future logo needs, and am likely to return here. It's been a good experience with very good concepts, and I again appreciate everyone's creativity and efforts.
