Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
To all potential designers: take a look at the brands and companies surrounding the UFC, mixed martial arts, Brazilian jujitsu, K-1 and etc... companies like Axe, Monster, Throw Down, Tap Out, BSN, Zyience. Eventhough I think most of these suck, we are trying to target an audience that likes loud, metal, harsh, grunge, sex, and the like.
And to whoever wins this tournament, FREE PRODUCT as well....thanks.
Meenainc, I like the use of the octagon in this logo. A nice reference to the UFC octagon. I would like to see some combination of Baco's logo with the octagon behind the fighter instead of the 'Fuel for Fighter' wording. That would be sick! BN
Designers, We are loving your entries! The BN owners would love to see someone who could combine the octagon and the fighter (Chuck Liddell...we think) into one big logo and make the letters a little smaller in relation to the octagon/fighter. We think this would look great on t-shirts. And, the dirty/grungy feel is really great. Again, thank you all. BN
Designers, We would also love to see some unique designs with symbols unrelated to the octagon or fighting. For example, see www.throwdown.com (we love this company's logo) or Axe body spray. This industry if VERY tattoo friendly, so maybe look at Tattoo fonts and designs. Remember $250, future design work, and free supplements! BN
Xyience is not out of business, they simply chose to focus on drinks rather than supplements. Nevertheless, their logo is damn cool. Look forward to your submission
Again, we are looking to create an image that defines the brand and will be easily recognizable on the bottle and on window stickers and clothing. Nike has the "flying man" which we all know is Michael... We are looking for an image that captures the sport and is easy for people to recognize.
The link posted above would be a great thing to "trace" and have in black in white so when that is the only thing you see on the back of someone's car or on a gym bag, you relate it to UFC, MMA, and Brawl Nutrition. We will worry about the marketing, you guys just keep bringing the cool designs because we are getting closer.
The designers cannot "trace" any image they don't own the copyright to and it's illegal to use someone's likeness in your trademark (they have to right to control how their image is used, especially commercial uses), and I believe the octagon is actually a trademark of UFC as well - I'd have to check into that to be sure, but I love TUF, etc. and I am almost positive at the ends of all their broadcasts it states that about the octagon/UFC.
Thanks for the info. An octagon is not trademarked for the UFC, but using wording like, "fuel for octagon cage fighting" or "octagon fighting fuel" would be off limits.
