What We Do
The name of the company is: "The Food Werks" Please note the spelling; that "works" is spelled with an "e". A casual dining/take-out/drive-thru experience that service the highest quality brats, dogs and more.
Industry
Restaurant
Color Preferences
Red and Golden Yellow.
Blue accents are optional.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Make sure it's clear, clean and professional. We are relying on your creativity and expertise! Our concepts involved a yellow background with a picture of a brat, and perhaps some flames in the background (We use a very unique vertical rotisserie oven to flame cook the brats.)
We also envisioned doing something creative with the "E" in "werks." Again, take these into consideration or use your best judgement.
Also, a german or bavarian theme may be considered. But like the other ideas we had mentioned above, we need to figure out how to do it without making it look "cheesy", hokey, or amateurish. The logo needs to look very classy.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

Thanks Jekson. I have actually ran quite a few contests on logotournament so I understand the importance of good feedback and being active.

Now, let's have some entries!

There is one confusion the logo contest says it is for bratwurst restaurant and in the What We Do:The name of the company is: "The Food Werks".

Yes, the actual name of the company is something else, but for the sake of simplicity, let's assume the name of the company is "The Food Werks".

Thanks for these recent entries. I'd like to stress that we're looking for a very professional looking logo that looks good when you see it on a sign driving down the street. From a distance, it catches your attention; up close, it makes you think "delicious, high quality bratwurst makes me hungry!" I realize that's a challenge but I know the logotournament crowd can deliver!

#5 I really like the colors and the simplicity. I am concerned that it looks too much like Weinerschnitzel's font... (a very popular nationwide competitor that is a household name, everyone would recognize it)

#8 Good colors. The logo is not very clear/easy to read, plus it's not clear that the background are brats. Makes me think of cross-bones (a symbol of poisonous substances!)

#6 #7 that is a creative usage of the roasting fork for the letter "e". This restaurant uses a "vertical rotisserie". I wonder if you can think of some way to incorporate that?. I would also like to avoid gradients in the background too since this logo, if possible. The font chosen looks commonplace. We'd like something that stands out and is unique.

Thanks everyone!!! Keep them coming!!

Nice #32 #33 #27 #26 can you make the bun a little more oblong and less round?

I like #30 and #29. But can you put some shine (reflective white line) to make the brat more juicy?

One thing I notice... I like.the logos where "the food" is not the as prominent as "werks".

#43 Yes. Still like this style, even with the revamped "e" -- very good!
#37 Like the flames, Like the colors, Do not like the lettering used on "werks"
#41 Like this one, don't know why. Does it need more yellow? Has a clean look, but would that shadowing be tough in some arenas to print?

Flames and coloring for #58 are very good!

#51 the words "the food" seem to crowd the outer border a bit. Can we see them with more space. Perhaps if a smaller font is needed, choose a cleaner looking one? Thanks
