hello - wow thanks for such a quick response. Thanks so much. I havent done this before so am winging it as to process of response.
First, the company name is Brand New Sounds - with plural.
Second is a few questions - 1) what is the brand ident shape on entry #2 of?, 2) Are the three submitted designs all using same type face?
Third, As to directions, the font is the main thing, i'd very much like to see a more personalised characterful font (but dont know if thats outside the remit of this site), also with that i liked the idea of playing creatively with the three words with a view of a) emphasising the word BRAND and b) lessening the emphasis of the word new.
Finally i like the use of a brand ident and prefer the entry no 3 version.
Thank John, for your comment, i have to say the first three logoideas was brainstorming i have been working with some other ideas that i will post soon.
ive been mulling over designs now and think ive got a better understanding of what im looking for - hopefully this helps you further - if not please give me a shout and i can clarify;
1. I really like the idea of trying to keep the three words together in a tight clean space. 2. I also like playing around with the words themselves because the meaning of the business is in the name - brands in music. 3. I really like clean simple designs and straight lines - things like the shadow for reasons i cant articulate dont really work for me. 4. I definitely prefer more bold characterful fonts - no serifs and no standard kind of computer fonts 5. I definitely would like to emphasise the word BRAND, lessen the emphasis of the word NEW. 6. I would also like to have some visual play on music, sounds or connecting consumers - something in that territory.
hey one more comment was just looking at your entry no 10.
Definitely my favourite directions of yours - though i dont think green is working (shame as its my favourite colour! but just doesnt feel like my business!).
Anyway what i like about this design is;
1. the brand is huge and new sounds fits symmetrically underneath the word brand. 2. IM not sure what they convey but i like the linework coming out of brands - what are they meant to convey?
Think if we can a) change colour palette, b) replace serif with san serif fonts (unless that doesnt fit with your design idea), c) weave some more rock n roll personality/character and d) better convey graphically visually music/sounds.
Does this design have room for a visual ident or is that wrong?
