BO as the initial letter on the shield (borderless) the typeface also can be used without the logo and still has the armor element on it as the identity.

I like what you're getting at with this one. I'd like to see the shield with B.O.R. In it if possible for borderless off road. It can be spelt as one word or two. I like the idea of a shield for a logo element. Not 100% sold ok it though. Can you think of any other objects that represent freedom and strength?

#47 > shield with BOR in it
#46 > adding the wing for the "freedom" and also grill and lamps on the shield to make it related to offroad vehicles

Can I see that last one minus the wings

revised version on entry #50 > fixed text alignment, and more compact look

#53 > change the lamp into a bolt shaped as the theme of "workshop"

Logo Designer
just to clarify, i put the text oversized over the shield, break the boundaries of the shield, it means for the "borderless" itself

#60 > offroad tire with the galaxy belt, it means this tire can go anywhere, borderless

#62 > a jeep jump crossed the border

#62 > sorry, the jeep is poorly drawed, it is just a quick draw from my laptop, it is just to show you the concept. but i think using an actual jeep imagery is not wide applicable, especially ehen you need to laser cut it to a product.

I like more what you've done with integrating jeep themes into the shield. Can you think of anything other than a shield to brand with. The shield doesn't really instil passion and freedom. More strength and aggression. I'm not a big fan of the gear/tire designs.

Thankyou, new variations are on entries #70 #72 and #73

on entry #70 i put a horizon on the shield, the word borderless in this case can also be translated as "horizon is your border/limit"
in #73 i put an imagery of montain inside the letter O

#75 > i combine the ranked shield inside the offroad tire, just to see how it will looks like.

what do you think? those designs to show it is all about outdoor activity

#81 > wings variation.

Thank you for your submissions. I get the imagery in #73 but feel that the logo is too "busy" with the earth, the badge/shield, the letters, and a mountain inside of the "O".

Do you have any other concepts which portrays the "Borderless" theme which does not use a badge/shield design?

P.S. A Jeep grille has 7 slots (this is seen to be an iconic feature, so if our final logo were to include the Jeep grille, it would need to have the full 7 slots).

Logo Designer
sure, i will work on some other ideas beside the shield too.
and about the 7 grills it is just easy to do that, the only concern i have about is i'm afraid if this "7 grills" thing will bring trouble for you in the future, because this 7 grill has been copyrighted by jeep company itself.

#87 > using an infinity symbol (limitless) to represent "borderless", here i put a rigid infinity symbol
10 years ago

Logo Designer
#89 > using a shield in different way, you can see 3 main aspect here,
- shield (because you create armor/protection),
- jeep wheel track (as you doing business on offroad vehicles) and
- the wheeltrack that crossed the shield and break its border (borderless)

all the aspects combined in compact way and become an iconic logo.

December 5th, 2013, 9:56pm I like the infinity, it's very unique. Show me some more with just the compass as well, without the BOR. With maybe a B inside it, or the borderless name beside it. I liked the new direction you're heading though... Sry, this comment also went to the whole contest

#88 > that 4 arrows represent 4 directions as you can see in a compass, it means "you can go anywhere (borderless)"

#90 try using the same font for the B as the borderless name. Also accentuate the compass arrows a bit
10 years ago

Try separating the arrows from the letter as you did in #88
10 years ago

Put a little gap between the arrows and the B.

Logo Designer
separated arrows on entries #144 and #145
on entrie #92 and #94 i made a symetrical Lteer B so it can divide the square to create the arrow in balance.

more gap on entry #117.
*edit previous post was meant #114 and #115

#122 > borderless wheel track on letter B
10 years ago

Logo Designer
about the compass thing i was the first introduced as the concept "you can go anywhere (borderless)", but because you have misplaced the comment about it on public section now everyone work on the compass, i hope you can hold this concept as my idea in this contest, and you can ask me if you want to develop this compass concept. Thankyou.

#142 > the "limitless directions" on the shield.
i just noticed it that the symbol can be also seen as a "bird's head" in abstract way, i think it also good for the brand image since it still represent freedom
10 years ago

I'm not a fan of the shield anymore. The infinity with the compass has a lot of potential. It looks a little like a tribal tattoo though. Can you change it a little to alleviate that?

#157 > borderless across the earth/world

New concept on entry #171, it is combined compass arrow, the jeep grill+lamp and also the name " borderless off road" in a compact way, i make the grills are 6 to avoid trouble.

#172 > combining the copass arrow with the word " borderless" the compass it self show a hidden message as highlighting on letter BOR which is also the initial letter for "Borderless Off Road", so this logo can be use in 2 ways, all of it or just the BOR with the compas, it is optional feature on this logo.

i'm a little confused here, what exactly you are looking for? first i 'm the first designer who is working on initial letter BO and BOR, no one have ide to use that before me even it wasn't mentioned in the brief, and i also the first designer working with compass, and after more than 100 entries now everyone work on the same object because you was misplaced the comment, and about the BOR you said you don't want it again but now the first ranked designer is using BOR as the design. What is going on?

Sorry, that BOR was in first by error. It was left there accidentally last night. Changed now.

You were the first one to bring the general compass design forward. And there's really only two designers that are doing anything decent with the compass. Yourselves and night owl. The rest of the compass designs I have no interest in.

I really like your concept of the infinity in the compass, but I still think the designs look a little "tribal". My favourite infinity is the one used in entry #87. Can you integrate this with a compass somehow?

infinity compass are on entries #196 and #197
btw it doesn't like a tribal tattoo at all, it is jst because the color is black, i just google "tribal tattoo" and it was very different with tribal design which is curvy, this logo is rigid. i have changed the background on entry #198 and #199 please take a look.

Can you please take the angle out of the compass in #203 and make it straight on? I like the look of 203, but am curious what it will look like without the angle.

Thanks!
