would you be able to attempt different fonts especially for the word 'laces'. Different variations of font's and spacing's for the word bondi we feel maybe interesting also

we quite like 106, we would prefer a bit more black in the logo, a couple of the submissions have too much blue at the moment

Client
We also prefer to keep the word bondi one shade of blue, one letter within the word bondi can have different shades of blue/black

Thanks for the feedback. I am really liking where this is going, not too worried about the color at this moment. Ultimately it has to work as a single color. I would rather work on the structure, then we can choose what things are which color.

Best regards
Dave

119- bondi and laces needs to be different colours, possibly black and dark blue, Don't like the font and size of laces text, we do like what you've done with 131, however we're not a fan as inverted text as it looks cheap for premium brand.

Client
55- we like the word bondi, hate the laces part. Again should only have 1 tone of blue to keep the premium look.

Client
94- i like that it resembles a flag, however play around more with it as this looks cheap

Hi,

Some comments,
216
Try different seagull variations and sizes
Change the font of the word 'laces', 'laces' word must be same width as bondi
We're don't like to tones of blue in the logo could you attempt
i) all black
ii) word BONDI in black and word laces in navy
iii) word BONDI in navy and word laces in black

131
Try other varitions of the word laces
Try other variation of the wave going through the words as long as it still looks like a shoelace
if you could attempt the 3 colour pattern for this design as well -
i) all black
ii) word BONDI in black and word laces in navy
iii) word BONDI in navy and word laces in black

55
Try darker version of blue and black
Try different laces font, make laecs the same width as the word bondi

Hello Bonilace, Thank you for the explicit feedback. I will see what I can do and post updates later today or early tomorrow.

Regarding the font style for "laces" Can you provide any more direction on this? Is there a font that you like?

Dave

that's fine, we understand quality work takes time.

with laces we prefer something simple like #119, something easily legible

Hi,

We really like your new entries, especially 246. We feel the word "laces" is lacking, if you could try some more variations similar to 119 where it's quite strong/bold/legible/simple

We love new placement of the lace/wave that goes through the word 'bondi', looks really good, are there any other variations you can think of for the lace/wave, we really like the concept

Try your 219 laces font, and also try making it a rope
Remove the seagull idea
Try making the bondi word black
Try making the laces word black

Client
Try using your 131 laces word styling on the rank #1 logo.
Also try several different lighter shades of blue.

Hello Bondilace. Try to let me design :) - I mean that in the best possible way.

Your lists are coming across a bit like commands.

So, lets work in single color and get the design set since Its highly unlikely that you will choose logo solely based on color. The we can choose a color scheme - (which at any time can be changed even when you have possession of the logo).

Hi Dave,

Apologies, we're on the run and usually try to keep message's short and to the point as much as possible.

So let's start again;

Design wise: we like 246, We feel the word "laces" is lacking, if you could try some more variations similar to 119 where it's quite strong/bold/legible/simple. If you could use the "laces" font from 219 we feel that may work. Also the font from 131 may work for 'laces' (purely suggestions).

We love new placement of the lace/wave that goes through the word 'bondi', looks really good, are there any other variations you can think of for the lace/wave, we really like the concept

Because we're not designers we find it a little difficult for us to imagine the colour, we feel the tone of the colour we use would be quite important we would like to see some of the black and blue mixes that we suggested earlier, it would really help with our decision process (the blue from 119 we feel looks quite nice as well, if we could see that blue one 246's design that would be great)

Sincerely,
Nelson

Hi Nelson. #300 has a bit more air in the spacing. Better read, especially at smaller sizes.

Also the logo is a perfect tile, ended to end. :)

As far as variations of the wave go, yes I have done quite bit of playing with this. This is the solution I came to and like the best for concept and design.

Great work. We like the logo changed to the 119 blue colour as the light blue reflects the beach better.

For the Laces font we definitely prefer the non-cursive font. Can we try more font variations and widths for Laces?

Wed like it to look more crisp and clean, something about that Laces font just didn't sit right.

300 is great, however we'd like to see more variations over these next 6 days.
Can we see some dashes and interesting twists additions on the word laces?

Can we please see 301 however make the laces less prominent than the word Bondi whether it would be to change the style of the rope or make it smaller?

Can you also please tell us what the Bondi word font is?

There will be a limit. Consider for a moment that I have done quite a bit of this in my own creative development of this and presented the options I like. It is often is the case that less is more.

Blue by Moonlight?
OR Blues by summer sun?
Think about it :).

You can help me out a little here by finding a color you like on the internet and sending me a link to it. I will make it that color for you. I am sure you understand that the color on my screen and your screen are not precisely the same.

Thanks for getting back to us.

We're not 100% happy with the laces font yet for our rank #1, not sure if its not bold enough, can we see some more variations that look clean like your current one does?

Based on the colours from here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Shades_of_blue

Can we please see the following: Azure, Dodger blue, True blue and Bleu de France

Hi again, I have posted a few options. The colors picked are very very close to each other.

I will try a few more later today. If you have any specific feedback, please let me know.

Hi Dave,

We quite like the spacing trick you did with #300, could you try one or two more variations with more 'air' in the spacing to see if it will look even better

sincerely,
Nelson

Hi,

Regarding the shades of blue, thanks for that. They've actually turned out a lot lighter than we expected. Could we give "international klein blue", "Egyptian blue" and "midnight blue" a go? thanks

Sincerely,
Nelson

#317 - more air

#318 - Midnight Blue

#319 - Egyptian blue

There is no real perceivable difference between "international klein blue" and Egyptian blue. They look identical.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for that,

On our website we have alot of instances where we'll have to use the logo against a black/navy background. Could you create a couple more inverted logo designs on black and navy backgrounds (similar to #315),

Could you also make one where it's black background and the word "bondi" and "laces" is in white.

Sincerely,
Nelson

Could you also include a blue background and the word "bondi" and laces" in white (our main concern is the dots that go over the word 'bondi' and how that will turn out)

Sincerely,
Nelson

Hello Nelson, I will post some updates later today. Not sure what you mean by "dots". Can you explain?

Dave

Logo Designer
#320 and #321 are a couple of options for you in white as requested. I took the dots to mean "texture" :)

Just to let you know that the color options and bacground colors would be a included in a spec doc that will typically look like this http://designdsmith.com/logo_spec.pdf

The document would be fully editable Illustrator vector file and you can change the colors when or if ever needed.

Hi,

Thanks for the changes, the inverted logo's look great.

Could we see the exact design of #300 with the blue colour from #316 (we really like that tone of blue), continuing on could you then create one with a purely white background and one with white as a layer so we can have a play around with it.

Could you also send through layered PSD versions or pdf versions for us to edit on photoshop.

Sincerely,
Nelson

Hi Nelson, #322 on white. The same color as #300, except on white.

Hi Dave,

Sorry I'm a little confused, so we want to see #300's design in #316's colour (the blue).

Your saying #322 is the same colour as #300, what does this have to do with the colour use for #316?

Sincerely,
Nelson

Logo Designer
Hi Nelson,

#322 and #316 are the same color as well. Do they seem different? Perhaps because of the white instead of gray background? The texture is transparent so the background comes through.

Dave

Logo Designer
Maybe because one is slightly bigger? As the logo gets smaller the texture fills in. Thats a good thing as it will hold together at smaller sizes.
