What We Do
We are a start-up Quick Serve Restaurant concept that sells iconic fresh made sandwiches and salads. The menu will consist of iconic sandwiches, salads, hot dogs etc from the Pittsburgh, PA area. You can view photos/renderings of the sandwich(es) by googling "primanti" or go directly to www. primantibrothers.com (Note: I am NOT affiliated with them in any way, but will be doing their style of sandwich). Sandwiches will be made fresh to order. I have also thought of using the hyper-cycloid diamonds in us steel and/or the steelers logo as well as re-using the slogan "It's a Burgh Thing" which was used by the "Iron City Brewing Co" from 1993-97 which I believe the trademark expired (1997) and was never renewed (Not necessary but would like some sort of slogan). We will also serve beer by the bottle as well as standard fare soda, milkshakes and finger foods.

Color Preferences
Yellow/Gold, and Black with White integrated or some sort of steel grey (think Pittsburgh sports teams colors, the city scape itself etc.)
Our Ideas & Additional Information
This will primarily be used for storefront signage and web site, with secondary thought to T-shirts, merchandise, menu flyers, letterhead etc. I'm thinking about the following:

A feel of steel/chrome-texture (similar to what is on the Pittsburgh Steeler web site) and/or
Designed sandwich that is similar to Primanti Bros . Sandwich MUST have bread (not buns), meat, cheese, french fries, cole slaw and tomato in rendering).
Main Name "Steel City Grille" Lettering should can be in a block style similar to the Steelers ( I think it's Steamer or something similar?)

Was even thinking of a silhouette background of the city scape?

Be creative: a tag line such as the following:

Iconic Pittsburgh style sandwiches and salads (or food/fare etc.)
"It's a Burgh Thing" ( I did some research and do not believe this is trademarked/registered and is in the public domain but you may want to confirm of go in another direction)

Great start to the contest. Very good contrast and seems like it's on the right track. Looking for more alternatives as well.

To all who entered:

I want to personally thank you for the work and even though you may not have won, I would like to purchase several of the alternative versions for other uses. The reason I chose the winner is primarily due to it's use on a facade/storefront due to the location of the business. I need somehting quickly identifiable which translates to walk in traffic. Renderings in the top 10 - 20 work in different ways for me from a merchandising perspective and I will be in contact with each of you sometimes after the contest.

Again,

Thank you for your time and patience

Sincerely
