Thank you for considering my work...here is a mini tutorial on branding/logo design.
1. logo design for any industry is not supposed to be literal for example a full realistic chisel really defeats the purpose of a brand identity. You never seen a car manufacture using a car in the company logo...ie: Chev's "Bow Tie"
2. A logo should convey intelligent design that is reflective of this industry
3. friends an family should never be used to evaluate a brand identity, because it boils down to personal input rather constructive outsider view...
How does this apply to BOB's Woodworking? The concept behind the chisel and wood curl is simplicity and fun while maintaining an old school visual direct link to both the company and service.
forgot to mention that in most cases friends and family are all one has to utilize in such sitatuion..the key is to take what they have to say....most importantly the I think this should be this or that...those are the worst words to use...if they can convey their concerns without using "I" or allowing personal taste then yes they will be a valuable asset.
