Our Ideas & Additional Information
Abstract Mark:
The Abstract Mark should represent a 'frame', 'border', 'enclosure', 'surrounding', etc.
'Frame' stands for 'framework' (which is the key-property of blumatix's solutions). The framework takes care of that going on inside the surrounding. Insde of the 'frame' there is plenty of space for indviduality, flexibility, future expansions, etc.
The Abstract Mark should communicate this picture. Inside the abstract mark there should be space for future graphical expansions. The Abstract Mark must be defined in its basic form which must be very simple as well as unique. 3-dim and other effects should be developed out of the basic form (in further steps).
The Abstract Mark must be recognizable in its basic form (2-dimensional, single color) and it must 'survive' the "DTP-Officetest": Scale down the abstract mark by 50%, copy it b/w and then fax the result. The abstract mark must be recognizable on the received fax.

Wordmark:
The Wordmark should be also designed in its basic form. The font must be very good readable. The casing of blumatix may be varied. 'Blumatix', 'BluMatix', 'BluMatiX', 'blumatix', 'bluMatix', 'bluMatiX', etc.
We prefer fonts without serifs. Some letters (e.g. ths'x' at the end) might be modified graphically.

Color:
The color of Wordmark and Abstract Mark should communicate the key properties: expertise, reliability, economical.
We prefer dark, not too loud, shrill, glaring colors. Dark blue, anthracite, silver, grey, etc.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:
