So I'm writing right now to say that whatever the ranking happens to be when the first round is over, you are considered one of our finalists. I will be moving down the list any color variations on this design, but that doesn't mean it's out of consideration. Even if you find yourself ranked outside the top designers scheduled to move on to the second round, please do not withdraw your designs. I still have to present all of my "finalists" to my boss and management team for their input. Even if you're currently ranked 25th, your design could ultimately be the one chosen in the end. The gradients do look pleasing, but they're not going to translate well to certain printed products. Also, is there a way to make the dot on the "i" into a sun above the bluff?

This bluff just isn't working in this design.

Again, the color scheme feels a little off, and the smile almost feels like an afterthought on this one. Good proportions, though.

Not bad balance to this design. The color scheme feels off though. It needs more greys or grey-blues. I also can't help feeling that the smile off the S looks like a devil's tail.

I think your other design like this is stronger/has better proportions.

This is a good concept. I like the arrangement of the elements. Can you do some variations with the color scheme and the font?

The word Bluffside is too obscured by the smile in this one. We'd also like to see a bluff image present.

This definitely feels more like a bluff than your other designs. Rather than having a distinct icon above the name, can you try to work the bluff and smile into the name?

I'm not getting much of a sense of bluff from this image.
