I might be momentarily moving some of the finalists out of the top 5 positions, but this by no means you are out of the running for the top spot. Please do not withdraw any designs.

So I'm writing right now to say that whatever the ranking happens to be when the first round is over, you are considered one of our finalists. I will be moving down the list any color variations on this design, but that doesn't mean it's out of consideration. Even if you find yourself ranked outside the top designers scheduled to move on to the second round, please do not withdraw your designs. I still have to present all of my "finalists" to my boss and management team for their input. Even if you're currently ranked 25th, your design could ultimately be the one chosen in the end. #526 I'm still working on that curve from the 'S' and I think this one is even better! I want it to be absolutely perfect. This is navy on white, #525 White on blue, same as 1st ranked. : )

This is the same as my 1st ranked design except I tried keeping the circle more uniform, bottom smile half closer to top half circle. I'm also showing it to you in black/white, obviously will be important that it works in both color and black/white. I'll be doing design work all weekend if you have any additional feedback.

#171 This is the same blue as the 2nd ranked design, just reversed.

This is looking very good. I think the use of trees is going to be tricky, since the level of detail needed isn't going to translate well to certain printed items.

#121 #120 These are the same as the first ranked design but in the blue/gray color you liked. I agree that this bluff design is the best, also has less sharp edges, which is always good for a dental logo. : D

This is closer to the blue-grey color we're after, btw.

Very nice! The only issue I"m now seeing is that some of that finer detail of the bluff face is going to be lost on some of our printed materials and clothing. Can you make that bluff just a bit less detailed/busy?

#30 Even more shading on this one. Color is the easiest part of the design, I'm just trying out different shades of blue. Let me know if there's one you really like.

#29 More shading on the bluff. I saw a huge evergreen tree on one of the photos, thought about adding that, just don't want it to get too cluttered.

This is looking really solid. Definitely one of the three or four best we've seen so far. I wonder if you could add a little more shadow to the bluff--make it look like it has a little more of a sheer face to it?

This is looking very promising, Janis. I really like the clean look and nice incorporation of the smile. If there's a way for you to get bluff imagery in the mix, that would be helpful.

I like the clean look of this design, but the smile with the two dots for eyes looks a little more playful than what we're going for. I like the bluff you're trying to incorporate and the font looks sharp as well.
