Blue RoutesLogo Design Contest

Hi All - Love the initial designs - this is my first tournament, so I'm can't wait to see where this goes!

A few initial impressions: 1) I'm on the fence about Intercaps/CamelCase for the wording 'Blue Routes' / 'BlueRoutes'. Seems some designers are making an implicit decision one way or another - would like to consider both options for individual designs. 2) FWIW, please keep in mind this is an older (35+) target market, so we're trying to avoid looking too 'cartooney / animated', and a bit more 'mature'. 3) Also on the fence about including our 'tag line' ('Scenic Driving Tours') in the design, so at this early stage I'd love to see options for both!

Ok. Since this is your first tournament I think we should let you in on a few tips:

You can leave individual comments/feedback by clicking on each design and leaving your comments. This will maximize our ability to deliver much much better results. Frequent ranking is also recommended so that you can keep track of things and not get overwhelmed by the numbers.

When you mark a design "Not Interested", it is very helpful to leave a comment regarding the element(s) that are disliked and those that can be kept.

This is a competition but your satisfaction is of utmost importance.

Hello all designers,

We're very excited by your initial designs. However we would like to add to the design brief:

Blue Routes is for people who love their cars and want to drive to beautiful places and have interesting experiences in them (usually with a companion). The target market is age 45+ couples, so the logo needs to be mature and classic. Blue Routes is a name inspired by the book Blue Highways, a memoir of exploring via the back roads.

Also, after viewing the initial designs, we're thinking the slogan is very necessary and should be emphasized a bit more, as we're trying to build a brand.

I hope that this additional information helps any of you inclined to make an additional iteration on your logos.

Does anybody have some concepts which incorporate cars / people / drivers along with a more 'classic/mature' feel? Thanks!!!

Designers - Thanks for all your great ideas (frankly, we're overwhelmed). In order to have time to review everything, we've extended the contest through next Wednesday, so please submit any final ideas by Monday so we have time to review.

Again, we're looking for a fairly simple, mature, accessible design - too many elements seem distracting. It's been great working with you all.
