What We Do
We are a group of researchers that are working to evaluate the current and future capacity for blue carbon (kelp, seagrass, salt marsh, and marine soft sediments) to act as a natural climate solution in Canada. Check out our website for more information - https://www.bluecarboncanada.ca/. Despite what this brief says we are in Canada not in the USA. Not sure why it is saying USA.

Our Ideas & Additional Information
We are thinking something simple so more of a line style sketch than overly detailed drawings. One idea we had was just using BCC intertwined and incorporating kelp, seagrass, and salt marsh in those letters. If doing just BCC then the full name will need to be included below it or around it somehow. Or for a bigger logo to replace the l of Blue with a bull kelp, and then seagrass as a negative space in Carbon and then incorporating marsh in Canada some how. We are not graphic designers though so those could be terrible. Oh and we like color but don't want it to look cartoony. Since all of the different vegetation types are equally important we would need to represent all three (kelp, seagrass, and marine marsh) in the logo. We also do a lot with mapping and big data processing so that could be incorporated somehow.
