Thank you for the quick turnaround and all the different options. There's a lot to respond to...
I like the darker font for your white-background designs (
#31/
#32); it looks like a deep brown -- very classy, and it stands out better (though, you know, on some level I have to trust your instincts, and I'm not ready to completely discard your color for
#26, which grows on me by the minute).
I really like the way you have the lettering arranged in
#31 -- though I'm still rather enamored with your initial lettering schemes. But in addition to it being very pleasing to look at, it also could suggest a musical staff or a guitar neck -- even more so if you were to cut some horizontal lines through it. Then maybe the emblem on the top could be a guitar chord chart, or a note rising up above the staff. (Is this too much direction? You're looking for feedback, not collaboration, and I don't want to steer you away from what you do best.)
I'm not sure what to think about the new emblems. The B in
#31 strikes me as too ornate and pretty, and the clef in (what I shall call) the headstock (
#32) seems to detract from it somehow -- perhaps because the familiarity of the treble clef is so powerful.
Though I'm trying to avoid the treble clef because of that familiarity, something about
#26 is still very appealing to me for the simplicity and class of the design.
Hard for me to rank these because there are things I prefer about almost everything, and I hesitate to mix & match ideas because I tend to think (based on your initial designs) that you really know what you're doing. I think the ideal design from you would be something like
#26, but with a more original, distinctive and creative (but just as simple) concept for the emblem.
I appreciate your talent and the way you've applied it to my needs.
