I'm really excited by the approach here -- bold and blocky and really arresting. I like it better on the black background, and I'm not sure yet whether I want to go white or black there. But your lettering here definitely punches through much better on black.

I really like the black, white and beige together.

I'm not sure about the emblem. While I appreciate the simplicity of it and the way it's balanced with the font, ideally I'm looking for something more unexpected. The one with the clef stuck on the B (#27/#28) is a little too obvious; I'd like to see them somehow more organically incorporated with one another, if you were to continue in this direction, and so between the choices here I'd say I prefer the simplicity of the simple clef in the circle. Between the two presentations of the B (#24/#28) I prefer the one in the hexagon, because of the way it suggests a guitar headstock or piano keys or the sprockets on a strip of film.

#25 is simply too plain, though I appreciate your trying a go in that direction.

#23 is nice, but it seems too subtle color-wise -- especially when viewed side-by-side with your white-on-black options.

I love your sensibility and your sense of balance -- the delicate feeling of the circle set against the blocky letters, for example, and the off-center look of #26. Very nice work!

Hi - further developments are now up :)

A variation of layouts.. #31, #29, deepened colours in #32 and #33 so they stand out more, and a stylized 'b' / clef in #34

Thanks

Thank you for the quick turnaround and all the different options. There's a lot to respond to...

I like the darker font for your white-background designs (#31/#32); it looks like a deep brown -- very classy, and it stands out better (though, you know, on some level I have to trust your instincts, and I'm not ready to completely discard your color for #26, which grows on me by the minute).

I really like the way you have the lettering arranged in #31 -- though I'm still rather enamored with your initial lettering schemes. But in addition to it being very pleasing to look at, it also could suggest a musical staff or a guitar neck -- even more so if you were to cut some horizontal lines through it. Then maybe the emblem on the top could be a guitar chord chart, or a note rising up above the staff. (Is this too much direction? You're looking for feedback, not collaboration, and I don't want to steer you away from what you do best.)

I'm not sure what to think about the new emblems. The B in #31 strikes me as too ornate and pretty, and the clef in (what I shall call) the headstock (#32) seems to detract from it somehow -- perhaps because the familiarity of the treble clef is so powerful.

Though I'm trying to avoid the treble clef because of that familiarity, something about #26 is still very appealing to me for the simplicity and class of the design.

Hard for me to rank these because there are things I prefer about almost everything, and I hesitate to mix & match ideas because I tend to think (based on your initial designs) that you really know what you're doing. I think the ideal design from you would be something like #26, but with a more original, distinctive and creative (but just as simple) concept for the emblem.

I appreciate your talent and the way you've applied it to my needs.

Oops, we were writing at the same time.

Stylizing the clef is definitely a move in the right direction!

Thanks for the new options!

I'm not sure to what to do with the headstock icon (#94); it's stuck between the simplicity and elegance of #96 the arresting abstraction of some of my other favorite designs (by other designers).
