Here was my first idea before I read your suggestion of a horseback batter: I wanted to create something that would work great on jerseys and/or caps. So I created a horizontal logo with a custom script font (with a whiffle ball swooshing off the tail), as well as a clean professional barn in the background. I will see if I can come up with any other ideas that incorporate your initial suggestions, but I am really happy with how this idea turned out. I look forward to hearing what you think. Thanks!

Really like the idea, but i'm curious as to what it would look like without the "x-box" thing in the middle of the barn. I think if we lose it, it simplifies the logo, while also looking more like home plate. Not saying I'd definitely want it gone, just wonder what it would look like without the "X".

I like that you recognized the reference to home plate, without the barn being upside down (I was debating whether or not it needed to be upside down like home is or not). I will upload some new versions soon, including some without the barn window on top. It definitely would simplify and clean it up more without it; I added it to really drive home the fact that it's a barn, but it may not be needed to work.

Thanks. I am glad you like it; I am really happy with it too. There's something nice about the bold simplicity that fits with the idea of ball games and jerseys. I am still brainstorming some other ideas, including the horseback one. I will see what I can do.
