Thanks for submitting your designs. I do like #21 but it would be interesting to see it with:
- Text in lower case (same font)
- A more luminous / almost fluorescent green
- More green incorporated into the mint leaves

Hey there, thanks for the ranking and feedback! I will make the changes requested. About the fluro green though, when printed, green is very misleading. I'm not sure how much you know about printing so excuse me if I'm telling you what you already know ;o)
The bright greens you see on screen when printed won't be nearly as bright. The brighter greens on screen are RGB format, a bright screen version lit up by the screen. When printed in CMYK they print a lot darker and almost muddy, like more there's more brown. The two colours that are the most misleading are green and orange. Some of the larger companies around that have a fluro logo have had the fluro ink especially made and trademarked, it's very expensive. Keep that in mind while picking your green. What you see on mine is close to what it will be when printed as I'm designing in CMYK not RGB screen mode which can be misleading. Hope this helps.

Thanks very much for the advice, I have worked partly in printing before but not to this detail so it is good to know.

With that in mind, the green I'm favouring is in designs: #35 and #9

Would you be able to use this green in #32 and #33?

Many thanks

No worries, you're welcome. I'll swap the colours round. So you're after the darker green in #35 and #9 or the lighter green?

Client
Thanks, I meant to apply the green you've used in designs #35 and #9 into designs #32 and #33.

Thanks for the revisions. Out of all your entries I am favouring entry 46 but the font (now in lower case) is not thick set enough. The mint leaves are quite feminine and so is the font at the moment so I ideally want a font which is modern, bold/thick.

In my original png I used jarah! I also went on to freewarefonts.com and something like "Philadelphia" is more along the lines of what I think could work.

Many thanks

I'll see if I can find that font or something similar, thanks for the tip :o) I'll see if I can make the leaves more masculine looking. Regards

Logo Designer
Ok I've had a look, Philadelphia is free for personal use only. So for commercial use you have to donate to the author $20. But I might be able to find something similar for free. I'll have a look :o)

I found 2 similar fonts and made the leaves more jagged on #67. I think it looks more masculine, less curvy.

Thanks for the updates. Could you use the darker green (which you used in the "mint" text on #35) in designs #65-68? The green in these designs is the older more mirky looking green

Logo Designer
Sure I can. I'm just off to bed coz it's 2am here but if I'm kept in your top 5 I can make the changes tomorrow.
Thanks! :o)

As well as the darker green could you also try putting the mint leaves within a holding square (or otherwise) shape to see how that works...

Logo Designer
OK, added the 2 new versions with the right green. Now I'm playing with shapes to put the leaves in. ;o) I originally had a black circle behind them, I'll try that and a few other shapes.

Thanks for the submissions, #112 is looking great (in 1st place)

Can you make sure there is enough of a space between "Black" and "Mint" so its clear they are two words?

Some other small things I'd like to try with it:
- Make the swoosh next to "LICENSING" the mint green to balance the design
- Try a mint green border around the diamond holding shape

Many thanks

Hey there, thanks for the ranking! I'm just doing those variations up for you now. Sorry I am out of town so doing Logo tournament in between travel today! Do you like the swoosh/line either side or just the one line? I can do variations of both anyhow. ;o)

Logo Designer
So I submit 3 variations and my laptop dies. Getting a car adapter next town! More entries to come. :-)

OK, computer and internet all good again. ;o)
Hey, while I was on my mobile looking at which entries I had entered, I noticed how different the greens look from my computer screen to the phones screen. Massive difference in colour. Are you looking at them on a computer or ipad/phone? Just letting you know the greens look completely different on a phone so go by the computer! If you think of any other variations you'd like to see don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for your efforts and changes. I have been looking on the phones and computers but it would be good to know in terms of CMYK and or RGB which green you are using.

Many thanks

Would there be any chance of getting a version of Entry 135 (in first place) with the logo on the same line (to the left) of the text (the same layout as you did in entry 109)?

Logo Designer
Of course I can, sorry about the delay, I have been out of town. I can do more work on your logo and get the cmyk values this arvo :-)

The mint green is C. 64.69, M.0, Y100, K.0.
Doing side variation now.

I put the other variations in with the logo to the side. Are there any other variations you would like to see? Don't hesitate to ask.

Great thanks they're all looking great and I have put the one I think works best into 2nd place (#137).

One final amends, can you move the left sided mint leaf slightly so the left line doesn't double over the green around the outline so much? I know its pedantic but when blown up it will be much more visible.

Client
Sorry #137 isn't ranked any longer as I'm closing the competition and need to have 3 different designers in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.....

Logo Designer
#137 and #135 are the same design just different layout. I can give you both so you can use either :o)
I'll move the leaf slightly so there isn't the double line on the side. It's not pedantic don't worry!
Thanks for first place too! I'll send you the final files shortly for you to look over. Then once you click the approve final files button I can send you the other files like the black and white version, white on black etc.
Regards,
Stacey

I have just uploaded the 'final files', I uploaded #135 but with the leaves fixed up as requested. I've also done up a side version ( #137 ) with the fixed leaves. Let me know when you have looked at the #135 layout (the files I uploaded) then I can replace them with #137 version for you to check. Either that or you can just accept the #135 and I'll email you the side version with the black and white. However you would rather do it is fine, just let me know. :o) You'll get all the files either way, just the upload buttons only have 2 tabs on here, one JPG and one working file.
Thanks!

Congratulations Stacey and thanks for all your hard work!

One question before I sign off. The font I assume is a freeware font so I don't require any permissions to use forever?

Logo Designer
Your welcome! The fonts are freeware, I have the names of them in an info file as part of the files I will email you.

Client
OK thanks. I have approved it all now so if its easier to email me with the other versions directly then that's fine too.....
