BBAC is a non-profit with a mission to advocate for artists and the arts by providing a regular season of theatrical performances and a space for artists of all styles to meet, rehearse, study, collaborate, write, show, and perform.

We definitely favor jewel tones, and we also like black. :-) I'd like for the new logo to have color, though, with black as a "highlight." (Sorry I'm not fluent in graphic-artist-speak.)

I am a performance artist, not a graphic artist, so I find myself unable to speak your language well. :-) I'd like to have a logo that looks interesting and eye-catching. One of the problems we have currently is that people drive/walk by and don't realize we're a theater. People who live in our community don't even know what we are. There are probably a few reasons for that, but I think one is probably our current logo (I'll attach it here). It just doesn't SAY anything, even though it's mostly words. :-) Sorry I can't give more guidance right now. I'll update if I think of anything, and I'm happy, of course, to answer specific questions. Thanks!

UPDATE: I would like the logo to "say ARTS" (through its image) to someone who is seeing it driving by our building, walking by a poster, or viewing it on a newspaper page. It needs to be eye-catching and speak quickly about what kind of organization we are. Right now we already have a box with the words Black Box Arts Center, and it is not working. That's why I'm here. :-) Thanks!
