Please keep #5 posted.
Can the designer try another few like #5: by first REMOVING THE MENORAH from the 'C' (too generic), then try the following options (or similar options at the designer's discretion) (a) Replace the menorah with more abstract "connection" or "energy" symbol (perhaps using the gold), and add some touch to spice up the 'B'. (b) Perhaps try some kind of 'smile' affect in or at the bottom of the 'C' by making the lower curve gold, or adding a subtle gold curve inside the 'C' just above the blue - and again, spicing up the 'B'. (c) Is there a 'B' and 'C' that could be tried to match the lyrical dance-like flow of the 'J'? If not, could that effect be matched by other means? Thanks you!

Please keep #4 posted.
Can we possibly see this in a few other ways: (a) With a smaller menorah in the 'C'? (b) With a more abstract image instead of the menorah in the 'C' (please see comment to Entry #5)? (c) Without anything in the 'C'? (d) Creating the same lyrical dance affect of the 'J' in both the 'B' and 'C'? Thank you.

Hello :)
I'm sorry that i have not answered your request before.
Well, it's just because when you make a comment here, you putted me in no rank.
When you did this, i think i have no chance to win this contest, that's why i didn't respond your comment.
But i'm quite shocked when you suddenly put me on the 4th ranked.
I think i can revise my logo here, but in judging phase..only 1st ranked designer that able to submit new designs. So if you still interested to my works, you have to put me on 1st rank, so i can submit new entries.
But if you dont like it, you can put me again to where ever rank that you like.

Regards,

Rb

Hi RB. Yes, with our apologies. This is a group effort, but not well coordinated. The rabbi, which is me, thinks your design has the best potential, whereas others prefer another one. In my brief exposure to logo design over the past few days, I've come to believe that the best logos incorporate either the name or acronym of the company. I'm not sure how much time is left - and I don't want to knock out the ones other likes - but I'll see what I can do. I had a feeling that this is what happened....Sorry, Rabbi Cohen

Thank you very much for the new entries.
Can we just try a few more, hopefully easy changes:
55 & 56 with the gold instead of gray color scheme
5 with just menorah removed
5 with menorah removed and 'C' made gold

Hi Rem-Brand, Sorry this is taking so long. Your design is still in the running. Can we please ask for a couple more adjustments, for #'s 56 and 7? First set of adustments (to produce two samples, one in the style of #56, the other in the style of #7): (a) For both, can you fit the text under the "BJC" in #56 and under the arch in #7, so that the text does not extend past the edges of the "BJC" or arch [if necessary, enlarging the graphic above so the text fits underneath]? (b) Also, can you change the text in the word "Connection" so that it matches the text of "Birmingham Jewish," same spacing, font and upper/lower casing? (b) In #56 only, please also make text all blue. (b) In #7 only, after making the previous changes, referese the color scheme on EVERYTHING except the arch? Second set of adjustments, all for #7 (to produce a few more samples in this style): (a) Include previously suggested font changes for "Connection" and fitting bottom text UNDER arch-image (b) Can you extend the arms of the 'J', so that the left arm extends (curves) above the 'B' approaching, but not touching the arch - and the right arm so that it just touches (or disappears into) the very right tippity tip of the gold arch? [We might have to drop the star for this??? The idea is to create more of a "connection" affect.] (c) Using this new design, try a few different color schemes, (i) more electric colors, (ii) more urban colors, (iii) more suave colors? Thank you for working with us!!!

Thanks, Rem-Brand for all the samples. If you would be so kind, can we just try three more concepts, similar to what we have? ONE, in style of ENTRY #78 (if possible): (a) Please use same font for text as entry #101; (b) please reverse blue and gray coloring; (c) please remove star (which should now be blue) from right arm of 'j' and use it as dot (the "head") atop the 'j'; (d) please extend right and left arms of 'j' so that they are connecting with top curves of 'B' and 'C' (also though 'j' is posing for photo with arms around shoulders of 'B' and 'C'. TWO, in style of ENTRY #101 (if possible): (a) please keep same font; (b) please use same color scheme as entry #103; (c) please change 'j' as suggested above, moving start from arm to be dot over 'j', and extending arms over to ("shoulders") of 'B' and 'C'; (d) please make star (dot over 'j') same purply color as right arch and word "Connection". THREE, also in style of ENTRY # 101: (a) All changes listed in previous suggestion, "TWO"; (b) in addition to those changes, please add bottom arches so that the entire BJC & Text are as if in a circle by top and bottom arches. Good luck - and thank you very much!

Hello :) Thanks for your update for the rank. Well, after seeing all my entries and the rank update, i want show you these two new entries that i have just uploaded, here : #128 and #129. I think these two new entries has the better arm among all. But, this is only my suggestion for your option. I leave the final decision for you. Take your time to consider it. Cheers!

Hello again my friend Rem-brand. I like your design (sticking for now to Entry #122, currently ranked first), but something is "missing" (no fault of yours). The design expresses happiness and flowing form, but we need more "connection". Our organization is about connecting people to create community; in particular connecting Jewish people to being Jewish (though not through formal religiousity; rather through events, gatherings, talks, etc.) We want to express intelligence, modernity and wit. The arches of your design suggest connection, but the letters in the logo, at least to me, suggest "flight" (uplifting, of course, is a good thing); from some of my previous comments, you have added a sense of "embrace" to the logo letters; yet it still seems more expression of "connect" is needed. Perhaps the arms of the 'j' could flow into the tops of the 'B' and 'C? Perhaps also the "leg" of the 'j' could flow in the same way into the bottom of the 'B'? Perhaps the left arm of the 'j' can flow through the top of the 'B' and sort of "disappear" into the light blue arch; the right arm of the 'j' continue through to "poke through" the top purple arch [turning purple? with some kind of connector "plug" at its end?]; and perhaps the "leg" of the 'j' could flow into the bottom loop of the 'B' creating a very small stretch of overlap, this stretch carrying a hint of one of the other colors (light blue or the purple)? OR, perhaps the left "arm" of the 'j' could flow into (merge with) the top of the 'B' [or, if that's too flat, curve to flow into (or merge with) the top left point of the 'B']; the right "arm" of the 'j' curving to flow into (or merge with) the top of the 'C'; and the bottom "leg" of the 'j' flowing into (or merging with) the bottom right of the 'B'? One last thought (degree of difficult: 10 out of 10): Perhaps the letters can be arranged to create an image (expressing something "connection" or "Jewishness") out of the WHITE SPACE surrouding the letters??? I think we have one day to select a winner. We have asked for more time, but not sure we will have it; so if you can think a drop more outside the old box and try something to add CONNECTION to the logo, we would love to see it. Thank you very much! (Rabbi Cohen)

Hi Rem-brand. We have to choose by Monday. If you can still submit and don't mind doing so, could we please see a few more examples of ENTRIES #137 and #138 using same color schemes as entries #95; #104; #106; #108; and #111. Also, same two designs, #137 and #138 in (a) some "richer" color schemes (elegant or posh - something more serious and sophisticated); and (b) using black and gold as color scheme. Thank you very much, R' Cohen

OK, hopefully last request (not sure how I missed asking for this, but...): Same two interlocking letter style #137 and #138, using original blue and gold you used in your first entries, like for example #51 and #52. Then, same two style with same two colors again, only this time, if possible, with "leg" of 'j' going IN FRONT of 'B' (rather than behind, as in all your other samples). Thank you for all this time and effort.

Sure, i will upload it now. I have made in 12 entries, with vice versa color. I have made the j IN FRONT of B version in two different way. Please check it now..!

Hi Rem-brand. My name is Judy and I'm working to finalize the colors and look of the logo. We are looking to give it a more "sophisticated" look which hopefully we can do it simply by color changes. I realize that you've worked on perfecting the look with our rabbi who was concerned about keeping it "fun" but ultimately he/we realized that we need to make the branding more consistent with the demographic in this affluent area. So with that said...I'm your point person and hopefully you wont mind exploring a few more "palettes." I'd like to send you some screen shots of color combinations to explore. Since I am unable to attach them here, would you mind sharing your email address so that I can send them to you?
Thanks very much!!!
