Very clever usage of the negative space for the pacifier and great design overall. However, I am really hoping to see the 'b' as the pacifier so that I can use it as a stand alone icon style logo without the rest of the word. Alternatively, I would want the pacifier image separate from the text completely, again so that I can use just the image and no text. I really like your design aesthetic and would love tosee more ideas from you. Thanks very much for your time and effort.
I like the colors in #42 but I think I like the "B" logo in #47 (perhaps with a pink edge instead of the dark blue). Thanks a ton for you entries. They are very creative and some of the best.
Could I see one where we remove the first letter from "Binky" and slide the "inky" over to the image that you've created. So that the "B" is the pacifier? Hope that makes sense, I'm horrible with writing.
That's awesome! I really really like it. Is there a way to make the pink in the new "B" a little bolder? It's thin compared to the font and I think that throws off the design a bit. Thanks so much for your efforts, this is the first logo entry that I would actually be proud to use!
Also, we may need to work with the letter spacing so that people don't think the product name is just "inky"... Adjusting the font so that the "B" is bolder may be enough but we may have to move it closer to the other letters or perhaps increase the spacing of the other letters so that it flows appropriately and people naturally read the name as "Binky".
Sorry for sending so many messages... I'm just really excited now. ... That said, I think we may also be able to just use your bolder "B" from entry #42.
Also, I think the tagline is too long: Try: "Daycare Software" or "Daycare Management", then maybe we can have the "B" dropped like it used to be.
You're definitely in the top 5 so we can make these changes after the open phase if you like... I've never used this site before so I don't really know what the process is. Thanks again, you rock.
Hmm... I think the new fonts in #64 and #65 are a step in the wrong direction. I think it's because they're less playful. That's my fault. I'm really bad at giving art direction. I think I like the bolder, rounded font you had originally. Maybe we should just stick with that but perhaps with the "B" just moved a little closer. We can work out these details after the open phase. Yours is currently the best and you're definitely the most responsive so I don't see how anyone could take the win from you at this point.
It's already ranked as the top choice! I love it. I do think the 'i' should be on top of the 'B' though. I know that's backwards from the normal flow of the other letters but I think it makes sense for me.
Can I see one of the new styles but with the 'B' from #42. (so put that B against the 'inky'). I think the 3d letters in #86 are my favorite (the 'inky' part)
Also, I'm not sure how to say this so I'll just come right out... one of the people I had review the logo thinks that the pacifier image looks like a woman's breasts. She's worried that this could offend people in my target market. Feel free to change it however you like but I was thinking we could: 1) perhaps move the inner white circles a bit more inward (so they're closer to the center instead of right aligned) 2) maybe flatten (not completely, just a little) the amount of curvature on the top and bottom parts of the 'B'. Hope that makes sense.
Hmm... this is almost perfect. I like the new pacifier... The back of the 'B' (the left side) I think is a bit too big, can we flatten that slightly so it's not so bulky? I think it'll be perfect at that point and I'll get some feedback from my people.
Or maybe if the 'inky' letters were a little wobbly like some of your older designs. by 'wobbly' I mean the rotation/alignment of letters kinda like #42 or #87 . something a bit more playful
I just saw #113 and wanted to make sure you don't do needless work.
the 'B' from #111 is perfect. You don't need to worry about changing that at all.
I also, like the colors for the other letters in #111 more than #113, I just think they need to stand out more in some way. Maybe keep the same hue but make them slightly more saturated so they're just a little darker. Or maybe add a shadow or stroke or a line/swoosh under the 'inky'
Also, I don't see a difference in #111 and #112, what am I missing?
Also, I like the fact that the handle part of the pacifier is a full circle like in #105, but I like everything else about #111. Can you add the full circle back to #111
Alright, I see those. I guess you were right. I'm such a horrible artist...
Can we just start back with #111 and add the round handle/ring from #105. And then use the cartoon-style/hard-edged shadow from #113. I think these are the last two changes and it should put you back in first place.
actually, do you think that there should also be a highlight on the bottom round part of the 'B'. It looks a little out of place right now since all the other curves have highlights on the top right of them
I think the it cold still be even slightly thinner. Maybe 20% less than what it is now. Also, I still think the color could be lighter. I don't like that the shadow is darker than the mouth part of the pacifier.
I would like the original CDR file. If it's allowed and you're willing, I would appreciate having a few of the other revisions that you created. I'm still not 100% sure if the final one is 100% perfect for me and I like some aspects of the other designs. If you cannot, it's okay. I understand. But I do need the original .CDR file.
