Hi

Thanks very much for ranking me number 1. Would there be any amendments to the design something perhaps that you would like to see, its no problem to do so :)

Thanks

at this point, i'm still trying to figure it out... It's still my favorite. Good job! I would like to see maybe the incorporation of some of that dark earthy green i talked about... also, maybe making the "giant" more "giant-er" and i also had an idea about "bgf" being somehow implemented in the belt buckle, and/ or maybe his chest could bear the lens aperture element... but that may be over doing it... or maybe the bgf in his chest and aperture in his belt buckle. but that may just be wrong....

in the end, i'd want "www.BigGiantFilms.com" laid in underneath and a "tm" somewhere in the logo... also, potentially a version with a black background... (for t shirts, etc...)

thanks for playing!

Hi Jim

Thanks for your reply, Ive submitted these new designs for you. Ive incorporated the green you like as well as the URL. Ive also made our giant more 'gianter' by enlarging him and repositioning him so he dominates the logo more. His belt buckle is neat with the bfg in there and Ive also given him an aperture on his chest, again making him dominate the logo some more. On both of the new entries Ive added a 'TM' as well :)

Thanks again for your feedback, and if you have any further comments, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best

Very nice... i'll contemplate these new versions... don't be upset that i took the other one off the rankings... it's still number two... but i only wanted to have the white one as number 1... (the black one is number 1 also!!)

thanks,

jim

trish,

wow... my last note didn't make much sense... basically i'm saying the one i have ranked number 1 now and the black one are my number one choice...

i can't think of anything specific to ask you about changing... i thought about formatting the "film" frame as a 16x9 horizontal or landscape "film" frame because that's what movie film looks like, but that might diminish the "giant". so, i don't know... the giant to the right of frame and a silhouetted city scape behind him? think iron maiden killers, or maybe the curvature of the earth with maybe a moon or saturn in the upper left... but i don't know. it's probably too "busy" like that...

then maybe just using uppercase B and G and F in "BigGiantFilms" and /or if it's three words instead of one... or maybe changing the fonts... look at the "epik new media" font that i chose in my other contest... but, again, i'm not sure... maybe you have a favorite font? or maybe this was it?

i guess, if you want, you could play with those ideas...

none of the other designs really blow me out of the water, and if you've noticed, since i put yours at number 1 all the imitators...

thanks,

jim

Hi Jim

Thanks very much for your last comment, Im submitting two new designs or you. Ive rotated the film strip to be more landscape and Ive changed the font over to be a little more like your Epik contest, it actually looks great rotated like this as it makes the giant more 'giant'!

As far as the iron maiden killers theme, I think you dont want to get too complicated in a logo especially when you think that you may have to reproduce the logo at a small size, so less is more in this case :)

This new design is much better, I really like the film strip rotation this way, the giant looks cool :)

All the best

thanks, trish!

I think i like 84 better than 85. but just to be particular, in the movie film world, the sprockets that you have on top and bottom should remain on the sides and run vertically. Can we see how that looks? and what about capitalizing the B G and F in "biggiantfilms"? also, in the proportions, i wonder how this would look in a business card? my intention would be to have the image you create on the front of a business card and my contact info on the back. so, with that in mind, do you think a change in the proportions of the image to the words could be made to better fit the space of a business card?

also, fyi, for web content, i would plan on "separating" the image from the words for things like "thumbnails" or "avatars"

At any rate, this is great work!

Hi Jim

Thanks very much for your feedback on my previous submission. In this submit Ive made the sprockets and film strip the correct industry standard for you. Ive also capitalized the 'BGF' for you, I think it looks better spelled out rather than in initial format. As far as your business card goes I can supply you the design in the correct proportions so it will fit on a card for you no problem at all. The design has been created with flexibility in mind so the icon can be separated from the text to create avatars and icons for example for social networking sites, twitter etc :)

Thanks again for your feedback and please let me know if you want any further amendments

All the best

Nice! can you scale up the "movie frame"? make it bigger? the "giant" can move to right of frame, rule of 1/3's and elongated shadow and the porportions for the film strip still seem too "4x3"... can you stretch that?

also, can you match the font type from the logo to the www?

and btw! you win! (in case you didn't know)

so, yeah, i'll need a white background version (like #97) and a black background version like we discussed before...

and yeah! "flexibility"!

thank you so much!

jim

(I found an example of the dimensions i'm talking about on the web, but i can't send you an image file... if you want, i can email it to you with your email address...)
