Sweet Sally's is the company that produces and distributes baked desserts and snacks that deliver happiness and evoke fond memories from a simpler time (i.e. childhood).
Big Apple Crackle is one of the items produced by Sweet Sally's and will be sold wholesale as well as retail. It has a matzo cracker base and is topped with caramel, chocolate and toasted almonds
The Big Apple refers to New York City where it is made.

I'd like a bright color in there, so when the packaged item is on a shelf in a store, it attracts the customer.
A good amount of white should show through
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
Yes - the name of my main company is Sweet Sally's and the logo is attached in this link below. In addition, there are photos of the Big Apple Crackle.
Big Apple refers to NYC so I'd like to see a reference to a NYC image - taxi cab, empire state building, skyline, statue of liberty, etc. I'm open to what that would be.
The logo for Big Apple Crackle should tie back to Sweet Sally's in some way. I'm open to how this is done -- could be a similar look or the logo could say Big Apple Crackle by Sweet Sally's.

Hi - there's a little more than a day left on my contest and I'd love to see a few more entries.
Having a reference to NYC (the big apple) is definitely something I'd like to see. However, if you choose not to use a NYC image then somewhere on the logo I'd like to see "made in New York City"
I like clear, crisp logos that are easy for a customer to read. The logo will be placed on package items on a grocery store shelf so the logo should "pop out" from the many items on a shelf. A burst of a bright color helps.
CH...feedback for designers is very important...not only does it help designers by steering them in the 'rite direction', it also acknowledges the time the desigmer took to work on a concept for your new logo. I worked on sweet sallys, with no feedback left, I am hesitant to enter your new contest.....we all read the brief, and when time is commited to a concept, and no feedback.....many designers relate to this. Please read the above post, June 11th, 2009, 6:42pm Dear CH,
if this is your first time using this site could you please spare a minute to read this post:
having been watching this contest. it seems that designers are off it since the CH have been biased on the top designs to a single artist. =( just my 2 cents
