Discussion

Hi,

thank you for the great drafts (#39 and #38). Just a view little points:
I guess it looks better with only three barrels - so I would leave the left one out.
And could you give me variations with different fonts and/or colours?

Thanks!

Thank you very much for the feedback,
Sure I will work on the modification and variations.

Just another little thing: Some people told me that it's not that easy to associate "Drinking beer" in one second...

Is it possible to add a beerglass (e.g. with foaming beer) in front of the barrels?

Regards!

Hello,

I apologize for the late response, I got problem with my tooth eheheh.. :)) , could not focus on the drawing.

So here is the revisions ( entry #66 - #81 ), left barrel taken out, added 2 mugs of beer, a couple of text styles, border, and ribbon color variations. Please review them, make any combination from each options of it and let me know what you think.. I would love to hear your feedback or ideas to make the logo perfect for you.

Thank you very much..

Hi,
and thank you for that much drafts!

I like #67 most, but there are still little things I like to mention:
The text should not touch the border of the logo - maybe you can enlarge it a little? (The proportion between "Biermanufaktur" and "Korneuburg" should not be changed).
The barley should not be "hairy" (so it would be easier to print it e.g. on a T-Shirt).
The handles of the mugs are very flashy and edged - is it possible to round them off a little or to downsize the gap between handle and glass?
I love the shining glasses and the shadow of the beer, but at the bottom of the left glass I think the fine curved line is to much, isn't it?
To the beer-froth: Please give me variants with less or no running down the glasses.

At last a thing to the colour: Allthough I like it, it doesn't need to be brown - it just has to fit brown bottles and the mugs should stay to be eye-catchers (e.g. yellow wouldn't be a good colour ;-) But you can try others!

Thanks!

Hi,

I love the new variants - especially #140, #130, #129 and #128!

Just one question left: Could you give me for these four logos variants with the left mug in front of the right one - as it was original e.g. in #67?

Thanks!

Hi,

good news - one of #130, #140, #155, and #156 is about to win!

As far as I know, it is possible for the 1st ranked designer to make changes while judging periode.

So, one last question: Is it possible to make the lines (contour) of the mugs in grey instead of black to let them look a little bit "softer"? Or maybe it looks better when you keep black but make them finer (if possible)?

Thanks!

Hi,

Please check the new entries, Is the line softer enough?
Let me know if you need any more changes, I will be more than happy to get it done for you.

Thank you very much,

Hi,

thank you for the changes - they look really great now!

Just the one line in the middle (between) the two mugs could be a little brighter.
Could you please try this for #160 and #161?

Don't change anything else ;-)
Thanks!

Hi,

nearly perfect (99,9%) - but when the logo ist small (e.g. on a business card) it maybe could be too "soft" now.

Can you give me one try between #164 and #160 for the middle line?

Thank you!

Hi,

Please check entry #166 and #167. I am willing to make the logo perfect for you, so do not hesitate to ask me for more changes until they are 100% perfect :)

Thanks

Hi,

I think #167 ist the best one, but at the top white part of the right glass, the line doesn't seem to be straight. So it looks like the right glass covering the left one (especially when enlarging the view)?

Thanks for your patience!

Hi,

thanks for the new variant - it's really hard to decide which is best!

Could you please give me a last try of #162 (right glass in front), just making the middle line a little brither?

Thanks!

Hi,

Please check entry #169 and #170, the variants of #162 as you requested.. let me know if they need more touch..

Thank you

Hi,

the middle line is brigther and soft enough in #169, but the other lines (e.g. the contour of the foam) are in #162 much better - please change only that one middle line and keep the others like they are in #162.

And one last thing to #164: Everything perfect - don't change anything else! - only the middle line doesn't seem to be straight vertical?

Thanks!

Please don't become desperate - you will win anyway. I just try to use the remaining time to make it really perfect.

Hi,

Please see the variants of #162 in entry #171 and #172.
In entry #164 : the line is actually straight vertical, it must be the screen resolution or the color gradient that make it looks not, I tried to make it clearer by changing the color gradient of the front glass right side, please see entry #173.

Thank you very much.

Don't worry, I will never got desperate :)) It's my pleasure to work on the drawing.. in fact you will still be able to ask me for changes outside the contest anyway..

Hi,

#173 and #171 are both perfect now - great job!
I just have to decide which is best... I guess #173 will win...

When I enlarge the logo (with the zoom) then I see in the brown background strange pixel arround the barley and a little arround the letters "Biermanufaktur". Maybe it's the desplay resolution again or you can "clean" that a little?

Thanks!

Logo Designer
Hi,

I am glad that they are perfect now..

I would love to clean the strange pixels out, but there is actually nothing to be cleaned. The original pictures are clean and clear, the strange pixels that you see are what we called "moire/noise", it shows up when we reduce the size of a bitmap image. The actual logo size was created in 1000x800 pixel, then it was reduced to 350x280 pixel which is the default LogoTournament submission size. So it became blurred, and the "moire/noise" shows.

At the end of the contest (after you pick the winner), the winner will be asked to submit/upload 2 versions of the final files: a bitmap (eg: .JPG) and a vector (.EPS), this is where you will receive the original (1000x800 pixel) image, and in additional (If I'm the winner) I will send you the editable versions of the logo in .cdr and .ai formats (so you can edit them with Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw).

I hope this answer the "strange pixel" issue.

Thank you very much.
