Bethesda Cuts and ColorLogo Design Contest

We are a barbershop(Cuts) and salon(Color) hair business. Our store will be modern and we will serve customers of ages including men women and kids.

Logo should primarily be black....although I like the idea of some color being in the logo.

I'm looking for a modern simple logo that has balance for men and women. I don't want it to have a full barber pole in it but just hints of it or the colors associated with it.

First idea is having Bethesda in bigger font with Cuts and Color on the bottom.
Second is having Bethesda in bigger font with Cuts and Color to the right of it.

Cuts & Color or Cuts / Color whatever looks best

Another idea is a circular logo, the whole pole doesn't have to be in the logo because i want it simple. It can be colored or uncolored but I want it to not have that much detail as to not take over the logo because its a unisex place. The "color" aspect to my name is tough to represent I feel like....creativeness comes in here.
