Color Preferences
We don't have specific colours in mind. We do want some colour, but not too many different colors. We want the logo to feel warm, welcoming, and engaging. Light or medium blues might feel a bit cold. We're happy to move away from the brown of our existing logo.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I'm attaching our existing logo, but you're free to start from scratch if you wish, or to propose a reimagining of our existing logo. We want the logo to be relatively simple – certainly simpler than our existing logo.
We aren't fixed on particular imagery, but some images that might work, especially if they were heavily stylized:
Tree of Life – Symbolizes eternal life, wisdom, God’s provision, and especially the cross of Jesus. This is our favorite imagery.
Fountain – Jesus as the source of eternal life
Cornerstone – Christ as the foundation of the Church
Open Book – Represents God’s Word and wisdom
Shepherd – Christ as the Good Shepherd
Empty tomb – Christ resurrected
But don't feel constrained by this list. We don't necessarily need religious symbols.
In terms of emotion, we want to communicate hope, a warm welcome, friendship, family, forgiveness.
