I like the use of the iconography of roof - the wrench has a decidedly sinister feel to me, appearing as horns. Also it is a mechanical feel, not home or building. Could you develop your idea a bit more?

#8 is much better and use of the window is pretty impressive - could you tweak around with the colors some? This could grow on us! Thanks!

Here's some color ideas.

thanks for the color ideas - can you make some suggestions that are less in the primary pallet - I know i wrote "blue and green" - but that from a prompt in the brief menu - and not something I thought about too much.

I like the darker grey ... but somehow it just doesn't feel like "it".
