Hi there! Great job and congrats on making it too our finals!
Could you experiment with having a more stylized inksplot in the square? The current one seems a bit too blotchy and hard to recognize what it is at first glance. I really like how the ink spots you have now touch, and even "overflow" the edges of the box so keep that concept OK? Some things that come to mind are showing just 1/2 or the upper corner of an inksplot? Hope that is not too much direction and different ideas to try....
Thanks for the feedback. It's not a problem, lengthy feedback make for good logos. :) I've uploaded two more versions, changing the ink stain to mimic the one you provided.
In #50, I placed the word "beneath" .. beneath the ink.. ( looks a lot better than it sounds :D )
I've had to withdraw the design you currently ranked 1st, since I didn't pay enough attention to what's already been submitted and came pretty close to another designers` concept. In all fairness, I apologize for this and I'm ready to work on the remaining designs I have in your contest.
Hello Andrei, I'm sorry too. I know it can be hard to respond to the feedback the client gives and respect the ideas of the other designers! I must tell you how impressed I've been with your work, your responsiveness and your creative eye. I find #101 very interesting and the "flattened inksplot is cool. Could you put the inksplot under the "I" in Ink...that way we don't have another element and maybe the "I" could become slightly quill-like or something?
Hello Andrei, Congratulations on being our finalist. I just attempted to close the top 5 round early and I think made a mistake and closed the ENTIRE contest. There are two items we wanted to get minor revisions to before receiving the final files, and just wrote to the logo tourney support to request this as well.
I think making the font of THE thinner will prevent it from looking like "think" vs. the ink" Also we were hoping to make the longer arm of the inksplot disconnected so there was a drop effect vs. a long connected drip effect. Again I realize that we're gone through several iterations and a lot of time and hard work. Thanks for helping us get this last 5% perfect!
Since you already ended the contest, but want some revisions for the final design, I'll gladly work on the tweaks for this concept through e-mail, if that's easier for you.
When you're pleased with the revisions, I'll re-upload the final files accordingly.
Thank you so much. I blame the mistake on the fact that I'm coping with the aftermath of having the flooding disaster at home/work. Very sorry if this is an inconvenience. You can use our direct email info@beneaththeink.com and we'll get this wrapped up!!! Very excited to use the new logo in our promotional materials for an upcoming conference we'rel attending.
