Benchmark Building PerformanceLogo Design Contest

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your submissions so far. While I feel that some of these designs are definitely on the right track, I haven't seen anything yet that feels quite right. So far I am liking the simple designs that incorporate some creativity into the lettering. I would be interested in also seeing some designs that are on a dark grey/charcoal coloured background. I am looking for something very professional yet cutting-edge and modern. I will keep delivering feedback as more designs are submitted. I appreciate your submissions and welcome any questions related to the design concept.

Hello Everyone,

The new submissions are looking great and I think that these designs are moving in the right direction.
I am really liking the designs that are clean and easy to read while still incorporating creativity and nice design elements.
I like the designs that are incorporating colour, and am not drawn towards the designs that are only in grey and white.

I would like to suggest avoiding the use of "BP" as a distinct lettermark beside the logo (abstract versions are ok). This is the name of an oil company that I would like to avoid being confused with. "BBP", "BM" and "BMBP" would be other suggestions to try using instead.

I like the direction that these designs are going, but look forward to seeing continued ideas and designs. Please continue to use your creativity and feel free to use new ideas. Thank you!

I would love to see some completely unique designs that are significantly different from those that have been submitted so far. I am still figuring out what exactly I would like to see in my logo, and while some of the designs seem to work for me I am not sure that I am set on any of them. I welcome your creativity in creating a professional, modern logo that you think might suit the project description.

I want to demonstrate:
- Leading edge technology
- Sustainability and Energy efficiency
- Professionalism

This company is a consulting company that provides software programs to help buildings save energy (electricity, etc...) and money.

The name Benchmark was chosen because it means "to set a new standard and to create a reference point for which other things can be compared or assessed". Building performance refers to the energy efficiency of a building, how well everything is running and how building costs can be decreased through optimization of various mechanical/electrical systems.

I think that blue, green and grey are good colours, but am also open to other colours if you feel they might be better suited for your design.

I've noticed a common trend happening with some of the logos that I wanted to share. A lot of the logo designs are primarily focusing on just the "Benchmark" portion of the company name. The full company name is "Benchmark Building Performance". Only emphasizing on the "Benchmark" portion of the company name wont be enough to create brand recognition and leaves out an important aspect of the business. I realize it may be a challenge to arrange the words proportionally, but please do try as I need a logo that will allow for the full company name to stand out.

For the designers that I have selected in the top 5, please do continue to modify and revise your logos as well as provide me with any new concepts. Try experimenting with different fonts and colors as well changing the background color as it will need to stand out on a white or light grey background as well.
