Great Michael. I believe the crayon would look more genuine if it was just shades of pink, and no orange though. Google crayon and you will see that crayons have the same color on the label. Maybe use orange for the text "Barnehage" instead. I would prefer a lighter, more yellowish, orange. And I don´t want the heart over the a.
Nice! But even with a crayon I feel the concept might be better for schools than day care centers. Most children don´t learn to write before they start school, so I think I´ll prefer a design with some sort of toy or other kid related graphic element
It sounds like you´re giving in Michael. It was not intention to disqualify you if that´s how you interpreted it... #111 is actually maybe my favorite Michael, but when it comes to this project it´s not all up to me. If you would like to create another design for this project, something that reflects that it is a review site would be popular among both me and my partner on this project.
Not giving up.... just relaxing Jens. Yes, it's true....writing does come later, but drawing comes even before school or pre school or even day care. Will take the time to rethink and reenter something Jens.... and i really appreciate the time and effort your putting into both the contest... and into myself. You have yourself a good night..... and maybe you'll something great in the morning.
Thanks Michael! I got something great yesterday day morning, but that was a son ;-) I will still follow the contest from the hospital though, so I hope to see some new designs from you.
Congrats Jens.... i'm really happy for you! Unfortunately no designs since i was buisy with other projects :(
There is a problem... the concept of a pencil was mine, and you said to avoid it...as i did. Now another designer is in first with a similar concept. Now there are two roads to follow.... either as i have already asked the other designer to split the prize with me... or i will need to take him to logo court, and himself and his designs will be booted from the contest.
I´m glad you solved it Michael. It the meantime I have been discussing with my partners how we should handle the issue, and I convinced them that we should give you a chance to improve your design, so we could solve this without a logo court or two designers splitting the price. How did you solve it? If it still matters for you if you come in first or second for this contest, I have already moved you up to first place, and would like to see some refinements of your idea with the crayon. We´re not very happy with how the crayon look. It´s somewhere between 2D and 3D, so could you make one version that is more 2D (e.g. without the shadow) and one that is more 3D. One of my partners would also like to see the design with yelloworange on the "Barnehage" part of the name. I think it will not be enough contrast to the gray background though, but it´s better if he can see it for himself ;-)
Thanks Jen... and again congrats on your new baby boy! The problem as i said is solved with the other designer.... no worries. Working on the crayon now. And yes... the contrast will not suffice.... it will need a white stroke unfortunately and with the typography involved.... will be difficult.
Well... let's wait and see what i come up with ;)
Again.... good morning and congrats Daddy! Michael
We all like #140, but the underline must go all the way to the tip of the crayon (just like in #139), and we would like to see it in just a tad lighter yellow/orange and pink/purple. Use the darkest and lightest colors found on our website: http://w200205-web.php5.dittdomene.no.
Thanks Michael. I think we're there now :-) I'll just check with my partners. Could we also get a version without the stroke for use on white backgrounds?
