Hi there,

Hope your having a good week so far?

Here are some of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. Creating an icon that works well within the logo or as a stand alone element, one that can be used for things like favicons or watermarks.

The logos are 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,

It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say.
I look forward to your comments or thoughts.

Regards,
Angus

Hi Angus,
I like the concept you're going for, could you please provide me with some more variations with different fonts where its hugging/circling the logo a bit more.

kind regards,
Sandra

Hi Sandra,

Hope you've had a good weekend?

Something like these maybe: #9, #10 and #11?
Each use a slightly different font ... I think personally I think the style of #10 works quite nicely. Its a font that goes thinner on the vertical stems, almost similar to bamboo i.e. with a slight curve.

Look forward to your comments.

PS: with #11 I also removed a bowl to compare ...

Hi Angus,

Thankyou for your variations, would you be able to provide us with another variation with a more bold font? as we do not want the logo to look too oriental.

Cheers,
Sandra

Hi Sandra,

Of course not a problem at all ... I've taken the layout from #11 and tried a few different and slightly bolder fonts. If you'd like to see this on other layouts please do say.

Hi Angus,

Thankyou for those variations but I'm not sure if the bold fonts work, it makes the logo look too busy.

Could you please try the words as typed below for designs #10 and #12

'Banh Mi Co.'
'banh mi co.'

Thankyou so much for your cooperation so far.

Kindest Regards,

Hi Sandra,

I agree, I think the thinner has a slightly more elegant and cleaner feel to them.

Of course would be my pleasure ...

#17, #18, #19 and #20 are those variations. And then for the rest I do a couple of different iterations of the middle elements - adding a plate, simplifying the bowls etc.

Speak to you soon.

Hi Angus,

Thanks for doing all the different variations with the font. I really like the different bowls in #21- #24 very cleverly done.

Hi Sandra,

Hope you had a good weekend and Monday? It was a bank holiday here in London, and for once it was sun and warm :)

Just a couple of designs I thought about; #25, #26 and #27
Seeing what it would look like in a more solid background format, and where the bottom half in #25 represented the actual bowl.

Look forward to your comments.

Hi Angus,
I hope you had a nice long weekend! That's wonderful that it was sunny in London. We had a beautiful sunny weekend here in Sydney and it's starting to get chilly here.

Thanks for the new designs, I was so pleasantly surprised with #27. I also really like #25 and loved that you incorporated the bottom as the bowl.

Could we possibly try some fresher/brighter green hues? Just to see how they would look? I am really looking forward to the final logo. Could you possibly remove the two dashes from #27 and do one with those curves you used earlier. You have some really great ideas, and am very happy to be working with you.

Thanks,
Sandra

Hi Sandra,

I did thank you - gardening and BBQ, can't be bad can it :)
Aah yes its heading towards winter isn't it? My parents live in South Africa and they're getting the fires going already lol.

My pleasure ... I also quite liked the feel of the new ones, almost made it like a stamp (which could be used for other marketing materials).

Not a problem at all, here are some variations for you.

Thanks for the kind words, and thank you for a great project.

Hey Angus,

Sounds great. It is only autumn, so its beautiful during the day but as soon as the evening hits, the temperature drops. Hahah, wow thats awesome.

It's been great to work with you. I am happy to say that we are definitely going to go with one of your designs. You ticked off everything we were going for within the brief and showed us so much more along the way. Thank you for being so helpful and showing me all the different variations.

kindest regards,

Hey Sandra,

I always enjoy that time of year, when it can be a bit fresh in the mornings and evenings but still shorts and flip flops during the day ... well for me anyway :)

And its been great working with you as well, thanks for a great project! And thanks for choosing one of my designs, that's great news :) I'm glad I managed to tick all the boxes. Of course if you'd like to see any other changes don't hesitate to ask.

Speak to you soon.

Cheers

Hi Angus,

We would love to go with #29, although were just wondering if you could contrast the hues a bit more.
We would still like you to keep with the green hues though, similar hues to the example below

here is an example:

Hi Sandra,

Of course, would be a pleasure ... And here are a few variations.

I've tried to cover a few different options in terms of colouring, but all have the same tones as per the example. I wasn't sure if you still wanted the gradient on the bowl or just flat colour, so have done options with both.

The nice thing is, the colour green is one of the few colours where you can have different shades together and they still work visually.

If you would like to see any different combinations i.e. pick and mix from different ones just let me know. The one thing I did do was replace the brown in the utensils for a shade of green - but again something we can put back if you want.

Look forward to your thoughts.

Hi Angus,
I think we've really hit the nail on the head with #40. Could we just change back the utensils to brown just to break down all the green. And, just keep the rest the same. Thanks for being such a legend and making this experience so fun and pleasant.

Cheers,
Sandra
