can you make the boat more of a bass boat, i.e. different rear motor, front fishermen standing, have the line straight.

OK

This is really looking good. I like the changes to the boat. We need to lose "family adventure" Also, can we try it with less birds? Also, would like to try the fishing line (on the left) straight and the fishing pole bent. Looking good. Thanks Stickie.

I really like 22, but i think i still like 15 better - both are good. JG and i have spoken by phone. I think the fishing line is ok bent - good visual effect....putting line straight might make things too "linear".

The new boat looks great - JG likes it centered, but I like it to the right - can we try the bass boat to the right? JG also likes the little "splash" off right side of logo....could we perhaps let motor prop stick out or have splash coming from prop for same type effect and to make it visually go right to left?

The words "family adventure" need to go. when do, do you then straighten the bottom? might be good to make a version that has www.bait&tackle.com underneath???... same logo with and without website name.

All the birds need to go in my opinion - unnecessary clutter and not really bass fishing thing - more a "sea thing"...but could be convinced to leave a group of 2 birds if artistically needed for balance, etc.

i think when we went from 15 to 22 the fact it is 2 kids and a man fishing was a bit lost --- before was obvious, but now just looks like 3 people to me and the 3rd person is almost not noticeable.

comments from others? both are real good concepts that i REALLY like - just some tweaking around until we get there!! perhaps later try some other colors too....

B&T team - comments? other designers, keep the ideas flowing!!!

The actual url we would like to use is www.BaitAndTackleMovie.com Also, I agree with what RM said above. The third kid does get lost in #22. I think moving the boat back to the right could work well. Is there any way we could still have 2 lines in the water or will it get cluttered and messy looking?

like 22. i would try one guy in front of boat with straight line. pro fisherman is always out front. is there any way to have the line connect to the Bait and TAckle words. a bass will be partly out of the water if at all. boat to right sounds good. could the caught fish still be underwater in white outline? i would lose the birds. mb

ok - can we see the straight line?....but i think the "curvy" line will be more aesthetic.. good stuff

some comments:
the line connected to the Bait and TAckle words will make things a bit busy IMO
the fish being underwater would give another dimension feeling and It would be better to lose the fish if we want a straight line..
I will show you what I mean..

I like this one.

here is what I meant with the fish , I believe the other version where the fish is out of the water is much better,it also creates a sense of dynamics.
do you have certain colors in mind ?

here is one with the birds gone, curved line and a different color
I will have to go once again through all the comments and then I will upload some new versions with some different colors ....

i like the new direction and agree with line not bieng connected. i like the fish underwater but will defer. trying a new color would be okay too. right now, the color scheme implies ocean and not lake. question: can you move the bass boat further right so that only the front third of the boat is shown. then have a standing fisherman in the front(how bass guys fish) with bent rod and line. then on left side of image, have a small piece of a dock with one or two kids sitting on it. also, i would like th see the font be more hand-painted brushed look. that would get the feel of an old store. or have the sign give more of a painted on wood look with flakes gone.

ok - spoke to JG and here is what i think we need to do to close this out. At this point we like #33 best. But certainly we havent locked and dont want to discourage any last minute ideas or directions - so keep them coming.

Stickie - we like the bottom of #15 - the font size and "base" without the added waves/water and without shading....it makes the name pop better. We like the top of #33 - man standing on front, 2 lines in water, no birds. Can you take the top from #33 and the bottom from #15 and bring that together? The subdued blue color of #33 is fine - but no shading in the text. We want the name to stand out.

Finally, it would be interesting to see some other color options....although we think the bluish color is good. Definitely would like to see it in black and white and if possible - green, yellow, red (any variations of these that you think might work).

We have alot of great ideas here - exciting to see it come together. Great work by all!!

''i would like th see the font be more hand-painted brushed look. that would get the feel of an old store. or have the sign give more of a painted on wood look with flakes gone.'' - I will work on that ,no problem

- No problem,I will also do some different color options(black and white version is a must anyway)

here is a mixture of #15 and #33 ..if you still want to change something - let me know
a bit of an '' old sign effect '' has been added to the letters
(could be adjusted to more or less intensive/detailed)

I have presented some different colours that are being used for fishing store signs and lake events...
right now I will try to develop other suitable color schemes....

i like the blue options, can you make a gradient shading where the top(fishermen, boat, line) is dark grey, almost black (implying evening) and it grades down to the blue already there in the bottom third of picture. a smooth transition from grey to blue might be worth a look. thanks!! mb
13 years ago

if you could try the same graded shading on 40, 41,43, that would be super

59 looks great. can you make the color grading a little more contrasting. perhaps the blue at bottom could be a little lighter. mb

Ok,no problem, I only hope that you are aware of the fact that with the lighter blue the name is gonna lose some of its 'pop' due to less contrast with its background
