Yes I do like this, it looks clean and professional.

Please try adding a space between "Backbone" and "EAP" in #3 and #4. Also add below the text "Enterprise Application Platform" like in #6.

I like how #3's single color makes pieces seem fused. In #4 the pieces seem a bit separate, but the colors could represent the different layers in the platform and also give me a color scheme for web pages.

Thanks for the look and feedback. Yes, I wanted to show both single and multi-colour options, thinking also in terms of modularity/growth/plug-and-play ease of use, that sort of thing. I'll follow up on your requests shortly.:)

requested changes as well as a bit of 2.0 effect...

Nice. Can you adjust the character spacing of "Enterprise Application Platform" so it takes up the same width as "Backbone EAP" like in #6? Also, do you have any high-tech but professional looking fonts? I find this one kind of standard. Maybe also show a version with the "Enterprise Application Platform" in the same color as "Backbone EAP", and another one with black text. Thank you.

As rule I tend to avoid anything that looks too trendy or contrived, prefering something professional as you say, but also very readable and enduring. I'll give the matter some thought...:)

Ok thank you. Aside from the font, and maybe showing one with the three colors, I think we have taken this particular logo design as far as we can.

Regarding #13, wow very nice. I like the shiny, 3d, and drop shadow. Very web 2.0 like. Thank you

My pleasure. I like this design because it is suggestive without any potential confusion with chiropractic. I'll continue to explore the possibilities...:)

Good point about chiropractic. For each of the following product names, please do logo #13 but with a single color backbone like in #11. I want to see that it is versatile.

Backbone EAP - Enterprise Application Platform (Red)
Backbone ECM - Enterprise Content Management (Blue)
Backbone WCM - Web Content Management (Orange)
Backbone CRM - Customer Relationship Management (Green)
Backbone ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning (Purple)

Feel free to change the colors. If I then stack each of the logos on a products page it looks like a full spine.

Pretty much what I had in mind (and you'll be able to Flash it too) - I'll put together the colour versions today. Stay tuned...

Regarding #16, it has the single color like I asked for, but not the 3D effect or dropshadow of #13. I also think I might prefer to two tone shade effect of #13 when coloring the bone pieces. Thank you.

I've thought some more about it. I think the EAP platform would probably be logo #13 with the 3 colors. Specific applications built on the platform would be single color like #16 (but stylized like #13).
