Definitely the style we are looking for, could you put the lion in a triple pointed shield? Great detail and I like the added year on the bottom. Tight work.

Will do! Thanks for the feedback. I'm actually working on a new lion right now - same style, but a little different shading to make it feel a little lighter. I'll add the triple pointed shield, too. Just wanted to get something in early so we could discuss further. :)

cheers

Hey man - here's a new version with the shield. I'm still working on incorporating the type a little better, but I just wanted to get this version in. I added a Greek column to the back to reinforce that vibe you were going for. It also hints at strength and a integrity (like a pillar of virtue). Thanks for your time.

I'm liking the first setup. situation of words and the 1988 got good reviews from the bossman. Not sure how you could keep the same outline but have the three pointed shield. Not to worried about lightning it up, Wanting a bold style. the column ended up being a little to much. Thanks for the new emblems.

I mixed the two - new shield, first-version/bolder lion. I see what you're saying about the column - just wanted to make sure we "explored the options". I should point out that this logo is "flat color" / no gradients, which means it will work perfectly for vinyl/screenprint/stamp/etc. I tried a few different versions of the type, still trying to keep it bold & straight-forward. If there's anything else I can do, just let me know.

thanks

Loving #26, can we try it without the lines. And is there any way to make Header a little further from the side designs? Again great work.

will sounds good.
do you mean just the lines on the shield? or the shading lines altogether?

thanks for the feedback

I adjusted the header up a bit. Also experimented with the lines - one without, one with just highlights and another with lighter, more symmetrical lines.

I'm going to be out for the rest of the day - my wife & I are celebrating our 8th anniversary! I'll check later tonight when we get home, though. I'll be around this weekend, too.

thanks!

ha - thanks! My wife appreciated me actually hanging out with her instead of being hunched over a computer screen!

Here are the lines form the previous version, with & without the subtle highlight. Anything else you want to see, or if you just want to tweak this some more, just let me know.

thanks for the feedback (and the time-off LOL :) )

Only a few more tiny things, Any way to even out the date and make it pop like the first one you did? And the other is if we could get the lines on the side pieces (excluding the shield)

Increased the size of the date a little bit and bulked up the shadow a little bit. Also pulled the old lines and added to the filigree - that's what you meant, yeah? Thanks again for the feedback - it's nice working with someone who knows what they want and doesn't leave me guessing! Anything else you see that I can do to improve, please just let me know. :)

thanks!

Last thing, Take the line system form entry #7 and could we mess around with the words on top, different bends etc. Just want to see how they look. And thanks for knowing what you are doing, great pleaser talking with and working with you. Hope to see the finals soon.

I changed the lines to match the size and width of the lines from #7 - they do look a little different because the shape of the oval changes how the lines look next to each other (each line goes thin-thick-thin, so with the shape of the shield, it doesn't make the symmetrical, gradual curve like it does on the oval)

I also tried a couple different type faces and adjust the curve/size of the type.

thanks again!!
