My initial concept – look forward to your thoughts.
"Philharmonic" highlighted in unique custom script, with a musical flavour – the P has a treble clef feel about it, without actually being one!

With this design I've put the emphasis on the icon, which is a stylised "A" - and also a stylised string protruding from a string instrument's scroll. I've aimed to give it an Australian feel with the colouring – referencing the colours of the heartland.

The type has been carefully spaced to sit in a tidy rectangular area which enables it to sit either beside or under the icon. The word Philharmonic being in white so at a quick glance you are able to read the name, the words Australian and Orchestra being almost subliminal.

Colour reversed in name - works in a different way to the other design, equally pleasing yet a different emphasis.

This is the first entry that has correctly interpreted our brief. Furthermore it communicates class and sophistication to our audience which is exactly what we are trying to achieve.

Great design work but i would like to see with white background rather than black - have a concern it may lose its impact.

Great. Yes, colour really adds some depth to the design.

Another concept.

The lower case "p" gives a slightly casual edge (to relate to other music styles) to the design whilst the full flowing style is loaded with classical style.
