Thanks for your beautiful entries! We love the look!!

Here are our feedback / enhancement requests:

[applies to both entries #18 and #19] first, A) There are what I will call 'poppy flowers' or 'pomegranates' at the 10 O'clock and 2 O'clock positions near the edge of entry #18 and also at roughly the 8 O'clock and 4 O'clock positions in entry #19 halfway between the center disk containing 'AU' and the border edge. Can we replace one or both of these with the Turkish tulip? We would like to see versions where only one is replaced and one where both are replaced with the 'Turkish tulip' design we provide a sample of in the brief. B) Without increasing the size of the solid circle in the middle, revise the letters 'Au’ in the middle by making the 'A' larger and using a lower case 'u', or possibly superscript 'u'.

[applies to entry #18] Once updated per the enhancements / revisions above, we would like to see a version with a solid profile-view of a lotus flower shape . Can we see two versions of lotus flower one facing up at the 12 O'clock position above the 'Au' and another version facing down towards the 'Au'. The lotus flower shape should be a simple profile and the size should remain small. It can be 'scallop' cut it with your circular mask for this entry.

[Applies to entry #19] Once updated per the enhancements / revisions above, can we see another version of this with a lotus also, perhaps at the 6 O'clock position over the current flower (rose?) that's there now? We are trying to use the flowers to represent the different parts of the world, fleur de lis = west, Turkish tulip = middle, Lotus possibly for east.

Hi Gary these are AMAZING!!

We've narrowed down your entries to the two versions, entry #30 and #29. The feedback will be slightly different for them, since the 'cutout' look works very well on entry #29 but needs little refining on entry #30 (see below).

[applies to both entry #29 an #30] A) Please reduce the size of the letter 'u' further. Looks like its a small cap rather than lowercase, which is fine, but I think we prefer the 'u' to be understated and the A more prominent.. this will hopefully give you the ability to Increase the size of the letter 'A' slightly and bold both the letters 'Au'. We are using the 'Au' like the chemical symbol for gold which is also 'Au'. B) minor and easy change in the "Aurelian" text under the emblem, please use a capital 'A' in Aurelian but lower case small-caps for the 'urelian' portion as in entry #20.

[applies to both entry #30] The lines at the extreme 9 and 3 O'clock positions, at the far left and rightmost of the emblem look a bit unfinished when used in this shape. Can we smooth or refine them to end more smoothly not as abruptly? perhaps a version or two showing a few options

[applies to both entry #29] The emblem in this logo is virtually finished. The only minor enhancement is perhaps bring the lotus flower into the foreground... it appears to us to be in the background behind the other lattice structure and may be lost. May we also see another version with it slightly larger or more pronounced?

We're getting very close... as you can see the revision requests are becoming few and minor. Please continue the great work on both versions (#29 and #30) as we're undecided on which is our favorite and might swap last minute.

THANKS, Marc.

Hey Gary, one quick request.. can you "crop" the artwork to reduce the black empty space / margins around the logo so that it shows up bigger in logo tournament? You can reduce the text size of 'Aurelian' somewhat if needed also. Marc.

Great, looking forward to it... don't be surprised if we swap the two versions #29 or #30 in positions... either way you're in the final running!

Hi Gary,

Thanks for the new entries and revisions. We absolutely ADORE the new refined look of entry #50. It is very very elegent. The design of entry #50 is vritually finished, and entry #51 is good as-is. The following revision should hopefully take minutes.

[applies to entry #50] only one item! Can we see a revision with the lotus base is joined seamlessly with the two tulip stems as one whole piece. In other words, can we remove the thin black line separating the two components. This would be easier for foiling an make the entire emblem stronger. Thanks

Oh can we also synchronize / harmonize the text color so it's the same gold as the emblems? Thanks

Hi Gary,

Could see the entire log, your last entry #85 in all gold, including both the text and emblem. Also, can you add a 'mirror effect' under the text, very light, to make it slightly more 3d. Thanks.

Hi Gary,

WOW, where did these new designs come from? They are spectacular in their complexity and simplicity and finding a good balance. One of the ongoing concern recently was that we may have been selecting logos that are too complex for most consumers, and these designs are great in incorporating the elements we like from the brief and weaving them into a seemingly simple whole that is deceivingly more complex than it looks. We also like the more vivid gold color of the emblem

We see the obvious fleur de lis in each corner, with the Turkish tulip and lotus. We also see looking directly on the image as a whole how the outer leaves form a rose or Rosetta of sorts. Shifting the view a bit and you can almost see a four sided Celtic knot, or some would argue a four leafed clover. Oh, and we didn’t miss the shape of a rosebud in between the fleurs des lis. Did I miss anything?

This will be a TOUGH contest.

[applies to entry #117]
Of the designs our favorite is #117.. Can we see the following minor color / gradient revisions: A) Reduce the brightness of the starburst color gold in the background, perhaps just choose a darker color so the contrast is retained and it is more subtle. It looks a bit too bright and mildly distracting from the main logo. B) Can we change the color of the text to be the same vivid gold as the emblem... even if the mirror effect is less pronounced, we prefer to keep the color consistent.

That's it... and THANKS for the ongoing creativity.

Hey Gary,

Sorry for the last minute change but it looks like we have to go with the square logo, not the diamond. Can we see the revisions done to entry # 116 instead of #117 as in my previous posting?

Sorry. just realized that the diamond would be much harder to fit and size up on an upright business card which is what we like.

Thanks for entry #119... it seems I didnt send out the post soon enough.

When revising entry #116 for the text colors in gold like you did to #119, can we also reduce the background color's brightness or choose darker color for the gradient. It still shines too bright and we'd like something softer more subtle.

Thanks.
