What We Do

Asperger Syndrome Support Network of Victoria (Australia) or ASSN Vic is a support group of parents and friends formed to assist people affected by Asperger Syndrome (a Pervasive Developmental Disorder which falls within the Autism Spectrum).

Our Ideas & Additional Information

Some options for the design are:
1. Asperger Syndrome (Autism) is normally associated with the color spectrum and puzzle piece (sometimes over-used).

2. The puzzle piece could be incorporated into the design in a modern subtle approach.

3. A symbol of modern figures (head and arms) holding hands in a circle - each in a spectrum color (promoting care, support in AS community) with ASSN Vic to the right of the logo.

4. Using modern figures (above) in spectrum colors style a star (five point like on the Australian Flag). Logo placement to the right of this logo

#1 to #4 many thanks for your submissions. Take #1 and curve one arm out an the other in. Make it more into a point star rather than a circle. Maybe take the ASSN out and place it right of the logo with a thin line in between.

Another idea is to look at the Australian flag. There are stars on the flag (The five in the The Southern Cross) these could be stylized into a logo with your original idea (X 5) with ASSN Vic to the right of the stars.

Try using a dark warm blue for font color

Again see if you can style the people more...think of a puzzle piece that looks like a person (stylized).

I think #12 has the right layout logo, bar, etc.

Sevi #12 is a great layout. Puzzle piece is wrong shape. Try and style them more like people.
Also use colors of the spectrum as in #4. I also like the font used for ASSN in #12.
Check out "autism puzzle piece" on google images for the puzzle shape.
Please use a dark warm blue for the font of ASSN and again a dark warm green for Vic.

#8 mgal many thanks for your individual submission. I love the fact you tackle the logo from a different angle.
I also like the layout and font used for ASSN. The flower may not connect with AS people but the colors used to construct it will. Try use a star (see comments above) but constructed using the colors you have used in your flower.
Love the idea.

I liked you approach to capturing the caring, supportive, family nature of what we do.
I prefer the font and size in #14 with the logo in #13.
Also see if you can use the long form text in dark grey under the logo (Asperger Syndrome etc.)
You also might place the logo left of the text to support the above.

#19 mgal, thanks again for the updated logo. Appreciate it of you could swap the logo to the left side with the text to the right. Font for ASSN needs to be slightly darker.

Folks,

I have updated the brief with a logo example I drafted up to extend the options to date.
It combines the concept of people, the color spectrum and the stars on the Australian flag.
Please feel free to use the concept and create from there. "people stars" made need to be more symetrical to create a sharper look.

#38 mgal, Many thanks for your version of my example. Its a great start.
if possible could you curve the arms more so that the star has longer points and the middle of the arm curve is deeper (looking more like a star). Thicker arms might also look good.
Also the font in #41 and #44 is great.

We really like it. Can you make thre part of the logo dark warm blue and the left most person a lighter blue (to stand out). Also place the "Vic" next to ASSN. Make the font larger in proportion to the logo. Then underneath ASSN Vic place the following in smaller black/dark grey text "Asperger Syndrome Support Network Victoria Inc".
