Thanks for your design. I like it. Particular the color choice and the emphasis on 'Premium Home Care'. After asking others in the office to react to the mark, I think it might be a little too abstract. As I've mentioned in other comments, the most overused symbols in this industry are houses, helping hands, angel wings, hearts and little people. However, people in the abstract actually works. Perhaps a modification to the mark you've used would be just right.
I have revised my design and incorporated some gold treatment to key elements. I have also kept the current treatment to "Ashby" as it is important for your organization to retain the brand equity. Doing so gives the Home Care Group a shared identity. ( Re #15 and #14)
I wanted to keep the "hugs" theme to the icon and revised it so that the elements are more anthropomorphic by shifting their placement. While doing this, I realized that the icon was also starting to look like a "door knocker". (#16) This I think is a very nice coincidence as it is "home" care - now represented not only by one figure hugging another but also by a unique home element, but without being cliche.
Aw - I lost my first-place ranking. lol -- Please let me know if I can do anything to the design to get it back. I would love to work with you on this and in the future.
Hey there - here is the sunrise concept I had been working on previously. It is decidely monochromatic in its present stage. I wasn't sure where you would like to see your gold stamping and which other colors you would like. The green I had been using with the "hugs" concept is too dark to use here.
The sun has three layers of "rays" each one is slightly different both in style and coloring. What I'm thinking is that the middle row of rays could have the gold stamping and perhaps the outline around the round sun shape. This would give it a good highlight without over doing it - it would be a nice surpise. The line underneath the sunrise can also be stamped as well as "Ashby".
Please let me know your thoughts. I hope you like it.
