What We Do
We are the local Chamber of Commerce serving South Jordan, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City.
Industry
Non-Profit
Color Preferences
Our Chamber use to be associated with the City of South Jordan. The City's logo color scheme is green. Our current logo we are seeking to replace is based on the City's and is green. We would like green as at least an element of the new logo, but we need to make sure we distinguish ourselves from the City's branding.

I'm not in love with the colors on our website currently.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We are replaceing our current logo. The current logo can be seen at http://www.southjordanchamber.org/.

We are seeking to disengage our branding from that of the City of South Jordan. The City's branding can be seen at http://www.southjordancity.org/

Some items of importance to our community are:
The Jordan River
Family-friendly neighborhoods
A pioneer heritage
A growing education community
An agricultural heritage
Progressive planned developments (see http://www.daybreakutah.com/ as an example)

Some items of importance to our Chamber are:
Strength
Stability
Growth
Local businesses
A sustainable, clean community
Community involvement

Our mission statement is "Advocate for a strong and vibrant business community in South Jordan."

I'm liking the blue and green together. But I'm interested to see if somebody has a better color scheme idea. Entry #1 is too Star Trek. Entry #4 needs "Chamber of Commerce" bigger. The vine thing on the S on Entry #4 is distracting at best. There might be something to be done with the leaves in Entry #3, but those currently look to mechanistic.

In general, we'd like to keep it simple enough to easily be embossed.or foiled. That is, ease or reproduction in a variety of applications is a consideration.

Thanks

Paul.

I like the trend towards using some kind of tree motif. That refers back to our history with the City of South Jordan and our relationship there. I appreciate the uses of colors other than blue and green, but I haven't seen anything there that's working yet. Perhaps emphasizing blue, green and grays/blacks would be the best use of our time.

I would like to see something with a river. The Jordan River runs through our town, which is named for the river. As said, the tree is good, but let's see what ya'll can do with the river.

The entries we have ranked high right now (1-5) are going in the right direction, but still are not there.

#8 -- Please make the font stronger.

#13 -- Please try it in green(s) and blue(s) (with gray and/or black accents if you wish). I would like to see a different, perhaps fuller, tree used, please.

#12 -- The font, sizing and colors are great. Could you please try a different image of some kind above the words?

In general, please play with the river, the tree, leaves, greens, blues, grays and blacks, and simple, strong fonts with the "Chamber of Commerce" 50-75% of the "South Jordan."

Thanks

Paul

#23 -- You got the river in. Good. Like it. The font needs to be elegant and simple w/o being blocky. The tree should be of a more leafy variety, please. We are a little low in elevation for the pine.

#s 8, 19 -- I like where you're going here. Please keep playing.

#s 21, 22, 18 -- same as above.

Thanks.

#18 -- please try a white outline on the right side of the tree.

Thanks

#10 -- Please try this design with the J the same size as the S (not dipping below the line so) and enlarging the "Chamber of Commerce" to make it more prominent and readable. Please have it stretch across the bottom but in a smaller font than South Jordan.

#25 -- Please make this tree fuller, without the tiny lines. We think they will be a bear to reproduce.

#24 -- Please try this one with the "South Jordan" in blue and the "Chamber of Commerce" in green, and vice versa. Also, we are concerned about duplicating the tone gradients in the tree and the brown line on the horizon. Could you please try this design with more solid colors?

Thanks all. We certainly appreciate your work.
