Like this first one a lot. Very nice. I don't know if there's some way this idea could be stretched out a bit as one of the main reasons for the logo is to be used as the main logo for my website.

Also, I like your idea of the subtle mountains, but it was a bit too subtle as at first I thought it might be birds.

Like the silhouette of the guy and the cactus.

I like the width of the new one you posted, but I like the size of the home and silhouette, and cactus on the one that I still have ranked #1. Also for the one stil ranked #1, the home is more straight up, whereas the one now ranked #2 is at a slant. I do like the idea of the slight changes in color, but I like the darker color red of the first, with maybe just a slight shift to a darker orange and then back to the deeper red. Not sure how to stretch the logo and keep the ratio of the logo to the verbiage in the same ratio that it is in the #1 logo, but that's what would be ideal. Also on the one ranked #1, the verbiage "Find Your Place In the Sun" is a bit bigger and easier to read. Perhaps also a slight change in the mountains to make it more obvious that it is mountains?

I see you are new to this site. I like what you're doing so I hope you have a lot of success. You seem very talented.

Hello,

Thanks for feedback, I thought that u want it more in landscape mode than square/portrait design.
I will try to think on some other design's, but is hard as I also like the way it came up, and at the moment i can't get it of my mind, and that's why my ideas is at this point paused.

Thank you for the confidence that u show in me, and I must say that I'm new here, but I work as a designer for 8 years now, and I created several hundred's of logo and other marketing materials.

Thanks a lot,
Cristian.

Not a problem, I wouldn't give you the compliment if I didn't mean it, that's for certain!

Yes I understand what you're saying about trying to make it more landscape than square, and you're right, that's ideally what I would like. I just am trying to also think of how to do it without making the silhouette or home too small. This last one is the best of them so far.

The only thing I am debating on with what you have so far is having the swoosh-type thing under the home sort of that same gradient or if the black is best. I'm trying to visualize it and am not quite sure.

Also, some very minor things - for the background sun behind the home, it looks like the center or middle of it is slightly lighter, which I like. I noticed that the upper left hand part of the sun, and the top part of the cactus, are dulled for some reason. Is there a way to have the color/texture more consistent?

The only thing I'm trying to figure is if there's a way maybe to have the Arizona Retirement Guy name at the very top, then the logo under it, and with the "Find Your Place In the Sun" part ... well, I'm not quite sure.

I really like the work you're doing on this and I'm confident with maybe a couple tweaks it will really be exactly what I'm looking for.

Great work so far Cristian!

Cristian,

Nice job on the implementation on some of the things I had suggested. The one I have ranked now as #1 is close to what I'm looking for. Very nice work! The coloring on the word "Arizona" is great, the layout is super, all looks good. The only thing I might like to see is how it will look if you increased the area of the sun, home, cactus and subheading so that the subheading was easier to read. As it is now it's a bit small and tougher to read ... if that area of the logo can be increased and flow with the rest, I think that will be perfect. If you need to make adjustments to the mountains for it to look right, that's fine too. I'm just most interested in making sure the subheadind "Find Your Place In the Sun" is a bit bigger, and maybe the cactus a tiny bit bigger as well.
I'm very pleased with what you're doing.

Nice job Cristian. Looks great. I'm going to get a little bit of feedback from a couple people but I like it a lot. I like the extra little mountain that you added too - makes it more recognizable that it's mountains.

Looks fantastic.

Cristian,

Can I maybe see the logo with having just a slight tinge of deeper orange coloring in the sun? Just a little coloring of orange so that it is more obviously a sun?

Hi,

OK, check it now...
The sun was reddish, as my idea (that's why i added the curl line) when i cut the sun, was to symbolize a sunset...

Ok, that's along the lines and I hate to be a pain, but is it possible to have it overall darker and if it has a gradient effect, is it possible to have it happen from the inside of the sun to a slight change the further from the center of the sun, instead of going from left to right?
Of all the entered logos, I like yours the best by far.

Cristian,

I think it's likely that this will be along what I'm going to select. Can you make the sun a bit darker? I'd like the outer portion of the sun to be darker...the same color as the dark portion of the "Arizona" part of the name, and then lighten up to a deeper orange color. Beyond that, I think everything is great and don't want to change anything.

I do have a question for you...how tough is it to have this as a logo but then also separate it up to spread it across the home page of a website such that the "Arizona Retirement Guy" is to the left, with the rest placed to the right of that name? Is there a simple tool or way to do that?

Thanks.

Hi,
I'm not sure that this is what u asked for...Let me know the web address of your website...
To use it on a website, is easy, it's depends on the website design,

on a website i see it with a white color behind, and a small border with a shadow, and with a small rotation, it give's the effect of a album photo.

Unfortunately, I can upload a draft here to show you...

The one I have ranked #1 is perfect.

The website will be www.azretirementguy.com. I am having it developed right now so it's not complete.

Your idea for the logo I have as #2 is creative but I think that the second part to the right should be larger in relation to the "Arizona Retirement Guy" part of the logo. I'm not sure it's possible with the swoosh connecting the two, so possibly having them more separated and with the logo and tagline to the right might look a bit better.

Not quite what you were visualizing with the border and slight rotation but based on what you've already done, I'm sure it would look outstanding!

ok,

I will show u at the end of the contest, when I will receive your contact details...
I also know how you waned, with the logo as a separate icon to the left, and the text to the right, but i like the form I gave to the Arizona word also, and looks bad with the icon next to it.

For the website header are many options, U can put Arizona Retirement Guy on the right, and the sun with the house ...can give the feeling that is coming out behind the main menu....in any position...., etc

Regards,
Cristian.

Great ideas and I really like both ideas. The one I am going to leave as #1 doesn't need any adjustments as i think it's perfect. The idea that you have that I'm keeping as number two has some terrific elements that I like but it might need a few minor adjustments although for the website header I think it would be the best option. I really like the font and style you've selected for the name "Arizona Retirement Guy" to the left. Great colors and it looks awesome.
On the left, I think maybe removing the little verticle squiggly line near the bottom, making the overall shape of the state a bit larger and then adjusting the size of the home to be larger than the guy, and the sun to somehow be placed behind the home and mountain rather than in front of the mountain. I think of those minor adjustments could be adjusted it would be a really fabulous logo for the front page of the website.

Once this website is complete (I'm having it developed now and making all kinds of videos and photos that will be on the website), I will also be creating another website for individual home communities and I'd certainly like to let you know when I do that as I really liked your ideas and logos much better than those of any of the other artists.

Thanks a ton Cristian ... you are quite talented and I'm proud to have your artistic design on my site!
